Re: "Alf"

I know how it feels, just lost my mint lancer to a crash (old guy, no licence, no sense of road rules, driving a mazda).

But this is far worse! Horrible! I really feel for ya.

Re: LA Lancer (Perth)

This is way out of my league and I'd have nowhere but my front lawn to do repairs. Asking $500 for someone to pick up.

Thanks for the condolences,

Chas

Re: LA Lancer (Perth)

Bad news, this car was the victim of an accident about two weeks ago. :banh: To save me from having to explain myself I'll just post this picture from the official crash report. It was a 74 year old man who caused the accident and given the circumstances, there was nothing I could have done to avoid...

Re: LA Lancer (Perth)

By tight I mean the new cable is properly tensioned where-as the old one had stretched over time. The reason I could formerly adjust my cable to engage the clutch 1/2 way down the pedal was because the old cable had stretched to allow it. With the new cable, I have to adjust the clutch adjustment nu...

Re: LA Lancer (Perth)

Where can I get an after market clutch plate?

Thought mine was ok until I put a new clutch cable on. Now that the cable is nice and tight, my peddle comes almost all the way out until it bites.

Re: LA Lancer (Perth)

Wow you guys really don't want me to modify! Ok perhaps not.

Jobs to do:

-Straighten out back chrome bumper.
-Treat inside lip of front doors to prevent rust outbreaks.
-Valve stem seals.
-Paint venetians black??

And really once that's done, there's nothing more to do on this car!!!

Re: LA Lancer (Perth)

No plans as yet. Have nowhere near enough money to be spending on a car. Would one day like to give it something more powerful under hood, it's gutless at the moment. I've been thinking about whitewalls... I bought this car from a guy called Rob who is apparently on this site. I've had it about 3 mo...

Thanks guys,

Slimer, that would be awesome! Could you send me a message with a picture of it and your Papal info?

Anyone in Perth with a 75 LA?

LA Lancer (Perth)

Hi, This site looks cool. I've been running into Galant owners suggesting I should register here. So this is my car (though it now has a nice black dash mat). Clutch cable has just snapped, anyone know where to find these? http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm274/youngcry/DSC_0052-1.jpg http://i298....
