Re: Timing problems!
Hi. I tensioned the chain with my hand. i did not follow any specifics even thoug i have the Haynes manual. I belive that the gap you're allowed to tension the chain is much smaller than the gap you have to adjust the dizzy. So I don't think that matters. But I'll check it. I insert the dizzy accord...

Re: Timing problems!
Alright, so I finally got some time to work on the car again. I found the mistake, and it was small and easy. One of the sparkwire had a crak in it, so there was little to no connection. Strange though since it's only a year old. Anyways, I got her running, but not as she supposed to. I bought a tim...

Re: Timing problems!
thanks guys, I'll check your tips later on today. I also forgot to say that I set up everything with the cam lobes on piston #1 facing outwards. I belive that also is a sign that the TDC is on it's compression stroke. But I'll try some more. I don't thing I'm overseeing something?

I also changed the gaskets on the waterpump, timingchain cover, oilpan and top cover. I had of the distributor and all other stuff. And made...

Re: My car :)
I was thinking about taking the engine out of a 90-94 galant gti or maybe the same year colt gti. I'd have to build new enginemounts since they are fw driven, but all is possible ;) Was also thinking about putting on a L300 diff. The reason for my car choices is that there is really hard to get a ho...

Yeah I know. It's damn near impossible to find that badge. But the look has grown on me, and I like it. Just black.
I also got a spare grill, but thats a different type, I'll see if I can find one on here.

Re: My car :)
Thanks hehe, well I'm glad the steeringwheel is on that side
Yeah, normally things rust up here, the good thing is that our winters are normally dry, so if you put some efford into it, you can keep your car nice
Myself I always place my beauty in my garage from around october-april.

Hi! My name is Tommy, i'm 26, lives in Norway. Last summer i bought this 77 model Galant 2.0 l SL. I love the car, and has been a veteran carfan for many years. And the japanees cars are all that matters The car is 100% rustfree, and has only 94" km on the chassie. The car is as good as the pic...
