Re: modding a TR intake
I modified a TP plenum with a TR throttle body plate as the throttle bodies are different size.
With the TP inlet you will need the inlet manifold, plenum and fuel rail. you can use TR/S everything else.

Re: modding a TR intake
good luck with cutting any out of the inlet runners, pretty sure they are tapered all the way through and different angle's etc...
Any GA-GD Galant will not fit a TR/S inlet manifold between the head and strut tower without extensive modifications. just keep hunting for a TN/P one..

Re: EFI..........Magna TR inlet question.
I am assuming the head he is mocking it up on is what he will be installing in the car.. so much easier to bolt the inlet manifold to the head and drop it in as one.. than dicking around trying to get to the bolts under the manifold.

Re: EFI..........Magna TR inlet question.
Just did a quick measurement, I don't see why you cannot fit the TR/S INLET manifold in with no modification what so ever. From the inlet port (where it bolts to head) to the furthest away point (where the plenum bolts too) is only 30.5cm, Head to strut tower is 32.0cm. (yes, this was measured in a ...

Re: EFI..........Magna TR inlet question.
you can actually clean a fair bit of the one I have (and now Jason has) up on the outside as you can see the weld has penetrated all the way through to the other side if you looked in the runners on the plenum before it was bolted on.

Re: EFI..........Magna TR inlet question.
A cuppla questions for GB_BB4C and A112H. What was the cost of a cut and shut on the runners? Is it as simple as it sounds? Cut, turn 180*, weld.?? cheers Cost me $40 for it to be welded. I had it all cut and cleaned ready to go. Like you said, Cut, turn 180*, weld. The pic of the Blue motor was in...

The thermostat housing you want and i used is a WO22. I then used 2 of the stainless pipe from a VN commy to get it up to the front.

Re: EFI..........Magna TR inlet question.
Never moved mine before, just always left them at the back.. not that hard to run some pipe from the back. Just watch clearance issues with the dizzy, fuel rail and throttle when moving it.

TR/S inlet runners will fit fine in a Sigma, just need the ends switched on the plenum.

Re: S-G @ adelaide chrysler day 2014?
All Chrysler Day has been moved to some time in March, think 29th for the cruise and 30th for the show.
Since the move I will be able to attend in 2014, I will have 2 cars down there on display.

TR/S Magna EFI inlet manifold will not fit into a Galant engine bay, there is not enough room between the head and strut tower.

I'm using new engine moutns for the ecotec conversion and wondering if urethane might me a better option (kit uses standard mounts) When replacing the ones on my brothers Commodore and a couple of friend's I got told to use the standard ones, not the urethane. Cannot remember why as was at least 6m...

any 20A-30A relay should be fine. I run a separate 30A relay per light (most likely overkill). that way if one relay fails you still have lights and also spare relays you can just move around

Re: 83 sigma parts to gd wagon
The front struts will fit if you use the 3 bolt strut top from the Galant, and you change the 3 bolt strut base (that bolts to the lower ball joint) to the Sigma 2 bolt one. Note, doing this will narrow your front track by approximately 40mm. the brake disc will hit on the lower control arm (A arm....

I know they have their AGM coming up this month, so may be waiting for the new committee to step in before they arrange when and where it will be held. But yes, you have about 6 months to get something ready.

my first GB Galant $200 to buy the car few hundred spent on it as a family... then I took it over I have receipts for around the $10k mark.. Re: Stupid wide block into GD Galant question
wide block will go in a manual body gallant. If using BW you may have to massage some areas with a big arse hammer, Jap will clear. Will be a pain in the arse to remove gearbox once in the car as there is not enough clearance for the bell housing with the tunnel, so make sure all your clutch and shi...
