Re: Where to source twin carb air filters?

I am actually trying to find a filter to drop in the twin carb factory air box too. I went to Repco the other day and they had a KB Laser twin carb filter on the shelf. I took all measurements and they are actually longer, wider, and thinner height wise than the factory 4G32 one... If you made rubbe...

I was also worried about the flooding they have had down there...

Hopefully someone got a great little project

Ill just put them in the doors.

The leads covers are just ebay specials,
for a V8 but they were a good price so just use half the set, and sell on to someone else the other half..?

Re: My GC Hardtop project

I think the VR4 turbo option would be awesome. Smooth, good and easy power, but after seeing one fitted not long ago, its a big ask without chopping up the firewall... Is that part of the decision?? 2litre numbers stamped on a 2.6 is what I have heard is a good way to get past an engineer... So ive ...

Re: GH SIGMA DIFF INTO A GA GALANT SEDAN???

Ahh good point Chris, Sorry When i did my tailshaft, i also fitted a 5speed box. You may not need to cut the tailshaft at all as Chris mentioned. But i was allowing for if the Diff had a longer pinion and yoke from the Galant to the Sigma...?? I think sticking with a GD Wagon diff is a great option ...

Re: G spec GH

Great job on the Fuel tank Mick!! Ha if you get pulled over for the fuel tank, that will be the least of your worries with what you are doing under the bonnet ;) Atleast it will be black and harder to spot! Also if you dont already have it, I have a copy of Microteck LT series wiring diagram book. I...

Re: my first car 1977 galant

Hey mate Great first car!! Very neat inside and out. Please, please do not put bonnet vents, stickers, big aerials, or anything stupid on it, and it will be a great little cruiser for years to come. If you change the steering wheel or gear knob, keep them in good safe condition away from moister etc...

Re: GH SIGMA DIFF INTO A GA GALANT SEDAN???

If you want to use a Galant diff, the Wagon diffs are the pick. Thicker axles, heavier duty bearings, and bigger drum brakes, than the sedans. I am unsure if the Sigma Diff would be much larger in any particular aspects than the galant Wagon diffs. I would assume so as they are a much larger heavier...

Re: LA Lancer 1974 2 door

Been awhile since i updated this build, been slowly plugging away. MAY have discovered a way to get around making an airbox in a tight engine bay. I can only give it ago, and i thought it may help others. The EPA and cops say you cannont have an exposed filter element. But this basic, and cheap Filt...

Re: DIFF GONE???? LOUD CLUNK!

Galantgirl as Rob said check your tailshaft by locking the rear brakes, jacking it up and turning the tailshaft by hand. then you may want to remove the tailshaft, brake drums, and pull your axles out. Then unbolt your diff centre and have a close look at the teeth on your centre and pinion. Check t...
