I do a similar thing to Paddles, I have 3 cars, house, contents, property (small hobby farm), sheds, plant, stock, fencing etc all with the same insurance company. As you can imagine, a single annual premium is rather expensive, but on a monthly basis is affordable (or simply, you cannot afford NOT ...

Re: 4G63 DOHC N/A build
Actually I saw on the weekend at the Classic Jap Show and Shine at Brisbane a GC Coupe with the 4g63 DOHC with a toyota quad throttle bodies adapted to it. Might be a good option as it's already got the EFI gear on them and all you would need is an aftermarket computer for it to run easily. One of ...

Re: sigma engine EFI conversion
Hi Chris, & welcome to our forum. EFI conversions to buggy motors are even easier than the road car conversions, especially since you have a donor TP Magna. Firstly you will need to replace your pistons with Astron II flat tops to suit the new Magna head which must be used as the EFI inlet manif...

Down here at Mount Gambier, about 90% of Speedway Juniors race 1200cc Corollas. Have proved to be the best rig for the category. Alas, no Mitsy's to be seen anywhere.

Re: Rob's GN
Rob, yes the speedo cable is different, along with the tail shaft & rear cross member. You must get the correct clutch plate to suit the input splines of the gearbox, as BW is slightly different to Jap. (I think the number of splines is the same, but the spline depth is different.) Easiest way t...

Kev, I believe all Sigma's with a Borg Warner rear end had the same disk brake set up, but Scorpions with a Jap rear end was a different set up, with smaller rotors. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

I love & own both Sigma's & Starion's, but I would never destroy a rare Starion to save a Sigma. We need to save as many Starions as possible before they become extinct. Sigma's are not an endangered species, yet.

Re: VL Turbo front strut into GK
Would it be easier to stay with the standard Sigma struts fitted with Commodore shocks (to simplify the steerings issues) & fit coil-over platforms. This is what I have done to my rally Sigma. If you still want Commodore brakes, then adapt a new disk brake mount, but then you have a 4 stud to 5 ...

yes, I actually had a set of 4.11 Corolla gears in my GJ rally car BW diff. I didn't do the conversion, but it wasn't too difficult I believe. No mods to the diff housing at all. Only problem was they only last 2 events before I began breaking teeth. :@ Have gone back to a 3.7 BW Sigma diff, from a ...

No Sigma's ever came out with vented rotors, but swapping your Sigma struts for Starion struts will do the job as Starions all had vented rotors.
DBA do make a slotted Sigma rotor, but its not vented.

Re: Head Help
Nothing wrong with M4 heads. TR/TS efi will bolt straight up, no probs. These heads have the roller rocker cam with hydraulic lifters. But, many of these after 15-20 years have 'sticky' lifters. If any appear stuck, replace all 8 as they're not fixable. Generally about $50 a set.

Number one rule - you cannot make a profit from building a modified car. We all love to mess about with our rides, customising, modifying, enhancing etc. just for our own egos & enjoyment, but don't ever expect to get back the amount of money you have invested in your ride. Only a small number o...
