Re: Sigma Radiator

As far as I'm aware you shouldn't have an issue fitting either of the GH radiators to the GE.

What is wrong with yours? doesn't cost much to have them reconditioned.

Re: Bloody carbies...

If you let the car sit and idle for a bit, does it eventually die? As in get too much fuel and cut out? If so I'd be pulling the top of the carby off & checking the float level, check the float doesn't have any fuel inside it & Check the needle valve. As for the secondaries, check all passag...

If it was in a 1:18 scale then... HELL YES! I'd grab one.

Team associated

Sedan preferred, but of course, if your doing a run of Galant wagons, would grab one to help get things rolling! (...pun intended lol)

Re: New daily 2001 Mitsi Challenger - any tips?

Nice pick up. As above, they are based on the MK Triton. Only real things I'm aware to keep an eye on is it doesn't hurt changing the gearbox oils over before specified, they are not the strongest gearbox. Differentials are supposedly pretty robust though; although if they have been abused in the pa...

Re: m9 head on 2.6 astron I

He was kind of correct, more so that he used the astron 1 head to up the compression - nothing to do with it being from a 2lt, as cheater said, they are more or less the same head as the astron 1 2.6. So yes you will be running a higher compression as you would have flat top pistons, combined with t...

Bolting it 'straight' on there will lower the compression ratio. So if your wanting it for a power gain, I'd suggest resolving that.

As above, if you have the money spare go for side drafts. Other wise I'd be looking at getting your hands on a 34 adm weber.

Not sure how effective a 350 would be with their twin opening butterflies. No doubt it would work, just not sure how well.

Re: Is there a difference between 4g54 distributors?

Get the later model one if you are starting it from fresh. The ignition module is in the distributor, so less wiring etc, and as above, they are easier to play with, you don't have to pull it all apart to alter anything.

Re: carburetters

Butterflies will be the same. You have the half moon wheel thingo mounted facing the front; as your meant to so the idle adjust screw still works. Just flip one of those arms on the shaft underneath the shaft, so it pushes toward the carb. May not be pushing on a very good angle at that point though...
