Re: Yet another GJ Scorp.
So my Navara's fucked and won't pass rego without spending more than it's worth to fix it, so I'm currently in two minds about this thing. Sell and get another ute that isn't stuffed, or keep it? On one hand, it's a reliable, kinda cool no-fuss daily, gets me around no worries. On the other, it's re...

Yeah same travel time for me ! There was a Ford Focus cruise happening the same day that were meeting up at the panthers club, they were coming from Vic Qld and even WA, was mind blown at how keen they were ! Haha if any of us tried coming from that far we would need to take loans out for petrol in...

I'd love to do a 6G72, but 2WD V6 manual Tritons are rocking horse poo :( Wouldn't be an issue if Dad hadn't sold his mill, could have whipped up a 6G7x-W5x adaptor or something but noooo.... :@ :@ In other news, look what I found! https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t31.0-8/p180x...

My HKB boss has a sliding cover to deal with that problem, no gap here
P/no. OM10, it's for a Starion according to the application listing but same same. Wasn't cheap though, cost me $90+$13 postage.

I've had issues with Woolies fuel too. Took advantage of the 4c/L off thing once, ended up with 45L of 2-stroke mower fuel and four fuel filters full of water for my trouble

Slip a length of clean pipe/RHS/whatever over the end of the key you're holding onto, give yourself a bit more leverage?

Find the right sized Allen key?
It's entirely possible you may need an imperial size too.

Looks like Dave might be right, again... Rego due on the 1st, and with my budget that $1k expenditure puts 1000km+ round trips out of the equation. That said, if I can get 6 months rego instead of 12 I'll likely be there, so we'll see. Not gonna say I'll make it next time, because with my luck...

I wouldn't say it's easy, only reason this wasn't sitting there with a stove-in front end for a month is because I have three parts cars

Watch the Kings, some are good, some not so much. Had two 30mm sets sag to the extent the car was below legal height and hitting the bumpstops on normal road bumps inside six months.

Probably won't make anything in April, especially if driving from Sydney to Newie is involved. June/July would be better, less busy, more time to save, less chance of my Scorp overheating in traffic... lol

Re: GK power steer into GH does it go?
I did the opposite, GH non-PS into a GJ. Boxes are directly interchangeable, columns aren't, so you'll need a GH PS column.
Dunno why you'd bother personally, the steering's not that heavy to begin with unless you're running wide tyres or the pressures are down, but to each his own

Re: Gear stick keeps coming off
Borg-Warner 'boxes of the manual persuasion tend to do that, the thread on the big plastic nut that holds the stick in gets pretty sad over time and won't stay done up.
Only solution I can think of is threadlocker, or maybe get the nut copied in alloy or something
