Re: Turbo: pros and cons
its only going to be as reliable as the quality parts you put into it and how its built. having 300+hp is great, but is it going to be drivable or are you going to have to get the revs up for it to be able to move. things you need to consider before going ahead and building something like this.

Correction to this.
Astron 1 has adjustable rockers and are to be used with the Cam, unless the cam is designed to be used with hydraulic or roller/hydraulic rockers.

Re: finally registered... hello sigma galant world
As usual my taste is probably above my budget.. but I do like some coupes, especially GB's. But correct me if I'm wrong, but I've only seen GC and GD coupes in Aus? Maybe I was looking at a Dodge Colt from USA. I'll try to find some pics. But assuming they are too rare or expensive, then maybe a GB...

Re: Alternator wiring in la lancer
there is a second wire coming out of the plug on the alt regulator that needs power going to it (blue and white wires from memory). this "turns on" the alternator like a switch when power is applied to make the circuit for charging.

Yes, so long as it is a narrow 4g54... but having said that you will only be bolting it to 3 out of the 4 main bolt holes. the top bolt hole on the gearbox on the inlet side does not match up to the hole in the block. this has caused some issue with vibration etc. when driving so it is recommended t...

So, this car has been sold, pending payment, to someone who is very passionate about these cars and I am sure will restore it to it's original glory. I know he will let you know when he has possession and his plans organised. Don't worry people, it isn't me. 2x A53's is enough for me, don't need a ...

...oh for the love of God. That freaking thing has been bought and sold, what - 3 or 4 times in the last 18 months? Every time some idiot buys it they ramp up the selling price. The paint is tired and it no longer has a drivetrain but at least this seller isn't trying to pull a swifty by insisting ...

I think from memory they only had the two types, the earlier one that I used with the copper tanks and about half way through the range they changed to alloy ones. I'm talking KA to KF Lasers.

There is a 35mm difference in the width of the boot lid's between a GE/H and GJ/K/N. so it will overhang 17.5mm either side of the car overall.

alternatively go to the wreckers and buy a set of extractors and where the middle join is, cut it off and add some pipe on to make them full length with a 4-1 collector down the bottom. just be sure to clear all steering components.

all good, was mainly just clarifying for anyone reading etc. I will admit I do like the GA front, but the standard light's (light output wise) are just shit to say the least. the standard sealed GB light's light up better than the GA's do. Re: GA Galant Lights - Compatibility with other models
That is the long and expensive way to mod a headlight to a H4 assembly (not to mention risky). The glass is held onto the backing case with some serious epoxy resin! It would require a steady hand and a mini grinder wheel to cut into the epoxy to the point where you might be able to pry the glass f...

as far as I know there is nothing the same as the GA Galant headlight's. I have inquired about getting a set of mine done to take the H4's. they would pull it apart, fit the bracket in for the H4 then re-chrome it and glue the glass back on. the only thing is how well the glass is stuck on in the fi...
