Re: Combination Switches
GA to GD and GTO switches are the same I believe. Only difference being plug wiring. I am sure if you got a later model switch you could swap the plugs and or wiring over to suit your car.

Nice wagon Ben, looks like I am a little late to the party but I get all my tuning done by Decs at Garage 7. He is very switched on and can do wonders with all sorts of systems and installs.

Re: ITB selection? wanted to buy. Your thoughts!
i used two of the three throttle plates from a RB26DETT Skyline engine on a custom fabricated manifold. I wanted something different and wanted to hide as much of the efi stuff underneath to keep a sort of carby look. Most poeple think they are carbs until they look closer and start scratching their...

Depends what lights you run or the look you want. If you convert the lights to new ones taking H1 globes most come with a hole and plug for a parker. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CRYSTAL-VISION-HALOGEN-HEADLIGHT-INSERT-KIT-5-3-4-NEW-/331261230096?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d20b53c10&...

Re: What does it take to convert single to dual headlights?
Hacksaw wont cut it, well it will 'cut it' but not in a reusable way.
As mentioned, you will need to drill out the spots or with a fine disc on a cut off saw you could carefully cut it away from the rad support

Re: What does it take to convert single to dual headlights?
The headlight buckets in GC/D Galants are welded in, the hardest part of the conversion would finding twin headlight buckets and then they need to be neatly unpicking them and welding the twin buckets in. I think I would just search the interwebs for a period pair of spot lights and fit those, IMHO....

Wide clutch measures 225mm and narrow is 215mm, the bolt and dowel spacing is suited to match.

Re: GC hazards
Okay, worked out why your hazards don't work :D The can in the green circle is the indicator can and the can in the yellow circle is the hazard can. You need to fin those wires and hook one up[ and you will be good to go. They are a solid green and a green with blue trace. They will be up in there s...

Re: GC hazards
You must have an operational flasher can, otherwise you indicators wouldn't work. If you want the lights to flash when arming and disarming and don't care if the hazard lights works I think I would be just wiring into the indicator loom myself. I will look under my dash and get you a pic of the can ...

Re: seat rails..
Found something really weird the other week. The GTO seat I bought in Japan came with seat rails, with out even thinking about it I chucked them in the GC and they bolted right in. A few weeks ago i tried a front seat in the GTO and they are a mile out. Wonder if my seat had the rails changed in Jap...

Hi Kezrob,
Sadly not many people like the early wheels and they aren't rare so this reflects in their value.
I personally am a fan of them and even I wouldn't pay more than $50 per wheel.

Don't see why not. As long as they are single filament the will fit reverse, tail light and blinker. Would need dual filament for brake lights

I could use something better in mine. As I am out in the country when it is dark, it really is dark and my reversing lights are useless. Think some nice bright LED globes would work well. Re: [SA] Event's and Cruises
Just wondering if anyone's thinking of going to the Rock'n'Roll Rendezvous at Birdwood in a few weeks? It's usually a fun day, and it'd be good to see a few classic 4-cycl 70s muscle there that's not Mazda and Datsun :-) If I am working by then, yes. If I am not, the Galant will remain in the shed ...

No bloody progress at all :( The car is now 100% stock loom, I have a mountain of wires next to it and it is still doing the same thing. 1. If I disconnect the ignition loom at the column, it still auto cranks 2. If I disconnect the (factory) relay near the battery, it still auto cranks 3. If I unpl...
