Re: lc lancer oil pressure sender
I ended up getting a hold of my old engine and pulled the old sender off that. I swapped out the current oil pressure light switch with the sender. Gauge works beautifully. I'll be looking in the future to set up a separate idiot light incase the sender starts giving out false readings. Thanks for a...

Re: Another coilover thread
I spoke to heasman steering and they gave me a rough quote of $2200 for the front pair using bilstien inserts with eibach springs. they will corner weigh the car and tailor them how you want.
They also do custom shocks for around $600 each.

Re: lc lancer oil pressure sender
Piss off the useless factory one (unless you want original look). I put in an Autometer one and is heaps better. My factory one would take ages to register movement and also still read pressure when engine was switched off..... At the moment that's the look I am going for. I know the factory guage ...

Re: little hulk
same as my micro-tech. I'm running an lt9c with ls2 coils, factory 4g63 na injectors, factory cas and a map sensor. as for pumps im using a carter p4070 gold and bosch 044. Bosch 044 sits in the hatch and is a bit noisy but when you are driving you can't really hear it. It was tuned by Injction Perf...

Yeh the bloke at supershit couldn't find me the part. And kept insisting that was it... My idea is to get a new sender and fit it the 4g63 so I can retain the factor oil gauge

Does anyone know the part number on this> I can only find switches on Tridons website. they have tps007 listed as the part but is that the actual sender?
Re: Maverick
http://www.jayracing.com/dsm-cooling-products-c-13_94/jay-racing-front-water-outlet-kit-stock-housing-p-28.html I used this on my lc. I wouldn't recommend it as it it hits the water pump pulley. Some people get them cut and welded on an angle. I opted to go for a smaller pulley. Even then the timing...

Re: 4G64 into LC
the mounts are actually starion ones off a 4g63. Superscan can confirm as he gave them to me. the standard rubber mounts off a starion worked as well. for clearance the engine fits in perfectly. the cas fits close to the firewall but doesn't touch. you can even retain the heater hoses. if i remember...

Transmission sump plug
The 5spd in the LC is losing trans fluid from the sump. II had a look and there is just a bolt and there has always been that. should there be a washer under this bolt or will i need a new sump plug for the transmission. Can't seem to find a new plug for the gear box.

Re: Lowering Springs
Thanks for the reply simon. I would much rather put in new shocks. Currently the springs sit loose in the strut assembly. I'm scared that they might pop out while I'm driving. I need a shorter shock but can't seem to figure out anything that will work 100% I don't care about spending money but I hat...

Re: Lowering Springs
Ok guys the lowering springs are in. I definitely need to change the shocks as the springs slip out of the strut when assembled. my other option is to tie the springs into the strut with fishing wire or something. When there is weight on the strut its fine but I am just worried they will pop out whi...

Lowering Springs
Hey all I have managed to find a set of sigma/scorpion green struts for the lancer hatch. the only issue now is if I fit them the front end will sit a little higher. I did some research and it appears that king springs make some 30mm lowering springs for these struts. the other thing I have noticed ...

4g63 conversion altenator overcharging
Hey all.
got the car running and driving now. only issue is the alternator is over charging at 28v. I have no idea why I always thought they were internally regd. I have swapped alternators and still have this issue. any ideas as to why this is would be greatly appreciated.
cheers
alex

Re: Our 1975 GC Hardtop (pic heavy and epic read!)
TJ I had the same issue with my lancer and the 4g63. I dropped the engine in and got it running. decided to move the battery to the boot and then it wouldn't start. it would crank but there was no spark. In the end I ended up fixing it with a microtech lt9c and ls2 coils. ran an after market compute...

Re: LB Lancer...To Restore or Not To Restore
It sounds to me that it's about money not the car. For that reason I say sell it. I don't think you will be happy if you spend money on it. As far as I am concerned, if anyone is trying to make money, or do things on the cheap to save money working on an old car, then old cars are not what they sho...
