Best Pump Fuel???

Hey just a question for some of the guys that do abit of tuning and builds.


What is currently the best fuel to buy straight from the pump?


My mate had his Rotor built about 5 years ago and was told at the time,
that Shell had the best Premium straight out of the pump (No addatives)

And later i was told Mobile had better.....

Just wondering what the general view was atm??

Everyone I know says BP 98 premium is the best.
A guy at work put his 2.6 ltr Gemini on the Dyno for a tune, and the tuner told him to run it on BP as well.

well in Qld the best fuel is BP Ultimate usaully, but they do run additives in it to help keep the motor clean, if you ever look inside a fuel rail of a modern car the difference between one run on normal petrol and the ultimate is pretty amazing! Or just do what my mate does and keep a 200L drum of avgas at home for when he takes his escort for a drive

I only use Shell V-Power 98, in my race engines, seems no different than BP Ultimate 98.

Depends what youre putting it in to.
I use 98 in my hi-comp motors and that ethanol stuff in everying else (its cheap). Valve recession preventor additive as required.
My '85 Hilux HATES 98. My 120Y will run on it if it has to. My Volvo ES1800 NEEDS 98. My old Suzuki 2-stroke liked regular.

I go out of my way (sort of) to get BP 98. Even though I have to get it from a neighbourhood sevo that charges like a wounded bull.

Prefer Ultimate 98 for the GSR,run our TE V6 Magna wagon on regular unleaded. Wouldn't use ethano; blended fuels on either because they're alcohol based. Methanol corrodes metal. Don't see why ethanol would be any different.

lol, i tried running my car on this out of a jar and almost blew the fukin thing up, didnt like it one bit
just like when i ran my car on injector cleaner haha, cleaned the thing out but fuk flames everywhereee
