Hi peeps, we've done the 'balance shaft elimination' on a 4G54/G54B (2,6 Lt Astron 1 motor - in a Mitsubishi Sigma). We've fitted the eliminator kit on the motor, starts & everything, BUT, No oil pressure !! If we manually prime the oil pump (via the oil pressure sensor outlet on the side of the engine block), it seems to work ok & builds up & holds pressure - whilst the motor is still running. But, when you turn motor off & leave for 15-20min, it again 'starves' & doesn't build up oil pressure on it's own...
Just got another pump from RPW but want to know if i have missed something before pulling it apart for the 5th time =/ ?
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks guys (& girls - if any :-) )

Re: 4G54/G54B no oil pressure =/
Ok, i changed the oil pump to a cast iron one and used 15w40 oil instead on the "recommended" 15w60 and i think all is well =)
