You didnt read the part about how i spun 2 big ends, discintegrated a clutch disk and snapped a gearbox input shaft did you? each time happened within 2 weeks of getting the bugger back on the road
Even the bike is having severe issues now.. I'm losing spark when I ride in the hot sun at constant rpm for too long
Meaning around town or giving it hell on the mountains is fine, long highway trip (around midday) and it stalls while in motion, or runs on 1 cylinder at 70km/h being passed by everyone

They were just the major issues.. soooooo many little ones that I could write a book
I'm starting to lose faith in the thought that a reliable vehicle exists out there somewhere

haha. sweet. i didn't read it :) dont worry. your not alone. i've gone through about 4 or 5 clutches, 5 fuel pumps, 3 sets of injectors, 2 turbos, 3 gearbox rebuilds, and on to my second engine lol. suprisingly CV shafts are good with many stallions heading their way. tires aren't though and just let go at about 7 PSI LOL

I actually knew this. That is part of the reason I made the thread.
Look at Dean, rides his pushy. I really rate this. Here is a guy that is so committed to protecting his ride, that he chooses to bare the elements to save his ride from them. I ride a motorbike and brave the elements too, but Dean pedals through them.

Dean wins hands down so far.

Sorry cheaterparts, you only get beaten by 77galantv6 because you work in your own yard. But if someone rides a girls bike or a K-mart special, then they get the prize...

I spent a week on my pushy recently when the Hilux carby packed in. Sort of reminded me of the song "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen - not because of the speed and freedom but because of the reference to "Suicide Machines".

My daily is a 2006 VW T5 Transporter van, 2.5 litre TDi turbo diesel, 6 speed manual with '4motion' (thats VW for full time AWD). This awesome vehicle is quick everywhere (0-100kmh in under 12 seconds) yet burns only 7 litres/100km of fuel. Great for a 2 tonne vehicle with the aerodynamics of a 'brick'. Also makes a magnificent tow/service vehicle for the rally car.
I'm here for a good time, not a long time !

Shit, if I had that many lights on my van, it would weigh 3 tonne, & burn twice as much fuel. :( :( And I don't want it to stand out in a crowd.

I used to travel between the Nowra and Eden every knight, the lights are an identification mark so truckies know who i am and can have a chat over the UHF otherwise the 720km trip gets very boring
