It will fit the later KM132 gearboxes with the longer extension housings (GJ onwards and starion)

I'm considering one for my new rally Starion.
Questions : How thick is the spacer under the pivot point, & how long is the throw from 1st to 2nd ?

I'm here for a good time, not a long time !

There isn't a "Spacer". He has raised the pivot point AND lengthened the shaft under the pivot point.

8cm

The shifter isn't a standard shifter that has been modified, they are built from scratch.

OK, got the picture now. Geez that is a really short throw as my Staz has a 1-2 throw of about 14cm. How much do you reckon the shaft has been lengthened under the pivot point ?

I'm in Brisbane ATM, When I get back, I'll remove it and take a few pics.

Correct. The Short shifter was designed for the US Starion which has the hydraulic KM132 gearbox(this is what mine is in).

There is 2 types of short shifters for a Starion box.
1. Is the Stedbani and 2. Is the MK1 as shown in the link.
I have both, and think the Stedbani one is heaps better. The Mookeeh one will come with a new gearstick and is still a nice bit of gear, but the Stedbani feels better to shift with. Both make a dramatic difference to the feel of your box (you will think it is another box)

You cannot buy the Stedbani ones anymore, however they come up on the sqc forums a bit. Best to look out for them there.

I assume the older jap box has the 3 bolts? 4 bolts for the longer extension housing?

If there is enough interest is it worth a group buy or too much hassle?
