I've got a GA auto centre in mine, can't remember the ratio, but it is heaps slower on take off then the original and much better on the freeway too.
Anyone know the ratio?
I'd have to pull it out again to check. I know the gears are a lot finer and there are a lot more of them, just cant remember how many....

should mention it was a sedan GA auto

Isn't a GE centre the go ? can anyone confirm that.
They used the early toothpic set up of the galant with an astron friendly ratio.

These are the ratios as of the workshop manuals that I have, they are both SP manuals No 5 for the GA/GB and No 17 for the GC/ GD. (SP=Scientific Publications)
GA/ GB
ratios listed
3.889:1 except wagons and 1300
4.625:1 wagon
4.222:1 1300
GC/ GD
ratios listed
3.889:1
It does not list a difference for the autos, I thought there may have been.

What he said, all GC GD were 3.889 except in NZ where the 1850's were either 3.889 or 4.222 as listed in the Chrysler service manual A112, A114
