LA Lancer - Rear Guard Flaring Needed?

Hi Lancer Fans,

I’ve got the Lancer back after getting a Scorpion diff fitted and the springs lowered slightly. As I suspected, the tyres now protrude beyond the guards, and the tyres rub going over bumps. (The car is running 14” Sigma mags with 195/60R14 tyres.) I might need to get the guards flared, but don’t imagine it will be cheap. On the other hand, are there wheels out there with a smaller offset that just might bring the tyres in far enough? The guards need work sooner or later to get rid of some rust. Any thoughts on guard flaring compared with a fix using different wheels?
Thanks.

Magna rims may fix the issue as they run a different offset and will sit in further.

Or you could try running narrower and or lower profile tyres
185/55 14's are pretty easy to come by and good ones like these are cheap too

Thanks for the offer, but I'm in Sydney. Will probably get someone local to roll the rear guards.
