4G33 Engine Number

Post by Cunjie »

Hi guys,

I just had my 75 LA Lancer in for an interstate rego changover check & the guy couldn't locate the engine number. I've also had a good look but couldn't find the eng number either.

Exactly where should I be looking to locate the eng No?

Cheers,

Cunjie

On the block in front on No1 spark plug. It's on the top face of the block (the face the head gasket goes on)
So looking from the front on the front left of the engine.

Dave...

Good news, I finally found the engine number after suspecting it may have been shaved of during a previous engine rebuild. The number was merely unreadable due to a light coating of 'grime' & all it took was a light scrub with steel wool & WD40.

Thanks to those members who directed me where to look.

Cheers,

Needs GA or GB galant front cut to resurrect a GTO. Please help if you can
