Question on ratios
Question on ratios
can anyone help me with the ratios for a stock scorpion diff its disc brake and a banjo other than that i have no idea its in a gk sigma if that helps i worked out the ratio using a online calc and it reckons about 2.7:1 but i didnt think they came in that low a ratio so any info would be great thx in advance

Mine's 3.308:1, I'd assume that's what they all are apart from 8-bolt GE's which are around 3.5 for auto and 3.9 for manual.

I've got a GJ scorpion, 3.308 in the service manual.. but I recently counted the teeth on the gears and got ~3.2 (counted 3 times because I knew it wasnt right..)
According to the manual 3.308 is the lowest they come in, no matter what country or gearbox.

3.3, 3.55 for scorpion
3.9, 4.22, 4.6 and 4.8 from early starion, express, pajero and L200 will also fit 10 bolt scorpion centre.
