Paullys' 77 GD sedan in all her flakey glory :)

Post by paully77galant »

Here's my gal, shes just knocked over 100 000ks so i gave her a new spary job for her birthday ImageThats full metal flake! The silver is actaully the chunkiest flake you can get! I'm about to put on another set of stock wheels that i've had 2" added onto the dish, so stay tuned trend setters!

I expected your car to be white/red from the profile pic you've had up till now.
I don't mind this, it's original, but subtle at the same time.

That up close pics certainly shows up what the other doesn't. That's a fair bit of metal flake.

BTW, Got any pics from when it was red?

I think if the red followed the same body line as the blue then the red would be the winner, the layout and metal flake is very hard to deny though (H)

The blue on the side was supposed to be a greyish flake with no colour to it, but when i sprayed it on it came out lookin blueish - i was not happy JAN!
I've clear coated it and put the car back together for now, so i can drive it and the 15 layers of flake can cure propperly. In a few months time i'll be spraying a red candy over the blue on the side, to tint it red and maintain the flakey look(the top will stay silver). The red will match the interior better then too.
I just have to live with the bloody blue on the side till then...

scorp16 - yep that'll be me. i drive it from murrumbeena to dandy every day.
GLANT - it has six coats of clear with flake in it for coverage, then 4 coats to cover it, then i waited a week and blocked it back and put on 4 more coats of clear. However its still sucked back since then and requires more blocking and clear...
