New member from NZ

Post by jgrantL200 »

Hi guys. I've just joined as I am building a '86 L200 ute(not sure what these are called in Oz). Am going with 2.6 astron out of a early 90s triton. I am near Christchurch, New Zealand. Be happy to hear from anyone with any advice for me or other astron owners.

Welcome to the forum.
Yes they are called L200's here in Australia too.

Are you modifying the Astron at all?

How about posting up some pics?

Not sure if i'll do too many mods to the motor. I've never had a carby before. My previous projects have been Nissan Silvias with Sr20det. I'll possibly rebuild and eliminate the harmonic balancer, perhaps some bigger twin carbs. I'll take some pics soon, not much to see really as its all stripped down in the shed.
Any advice on good modifications for a 2.6?
