This was parked in the Chrysler Canteen at the recent reunion at Tonsly Park. Belongs to someone in the Chrysler Restorers Club.
Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
The car above is a SMASA member too. GB_BB4C and I met her last weekend at a SMASA cruise. Chatted for about an hour about her car and Mike Dodge. She also has a factory fresh (but needing resto) GB in her garage.
Funnily enough, while talking to her we had a young couple, maybe 19, come up to us and ask all about the Dodge. The young lad has a GC and is interested in cruising with other Galants.
I gave both the Lady and the young lad this web address, hope they join up.

I spoke to the Chrysler Restorers Club of SA Secretary and Membership officers and they are both keen to have Sigmas, Galants, and even my Scorpions join their club. Having checked out their website there already are Sigmas and Galants in the club runs, and John Goddard club Secretary says there is a pre-79 Scorpion on the Log Book register. I might join in a couple of meetings to see what they are all about, but for $30pa to join seems like a great way to get my Scorpion into a few cruises.

Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
I went to a meeting of the Restorers club once, and realised that it may be a great club to join one day...when i am a bit older. It was really interesting, they were seriously organised, they had a guest speaker, slide show of their old caravans touring and a fantastic selection of cakes(the definate highlight of the evening).I would say the average age would have been about 60..there were old ladies asleep under blankets right behind me.
It was a good night, but i got the impression they are not so enthusiastic about modified vehicles..Great if you have a stock old car on historic rego.It is definately worth going to one of the meetings, see what it is all about..and stick around for some really nice cakes at the end.

Yeah, I have got the same impression Dave, lol. You and flashy should get into SMASA http://www.smasa.com.au/ we have over 500 members and cars of all types, shapes and sizes. Monthly cruises, some with prizes, a big list of associated shops you will get discounts at and you can show you car if you like at the annual Show N Shine.

This is my most recent acquisition. I have just bought some temporary new wheels until I find something more JDM so will have to upload a new photo.
I will start a build thread because I need some advice on lowering.
Cheers

That's my Dad, Paul Bramble in his GC. It had 4 super oscar driving lights in the front. Southern Cross Rally around 78' or 79'. The car was a repairable write off, caught in the floods in Glouster.Torana68 wrote:

Is the owner of this car on this forum?

I'd be interested to find out if they kept going with it and what success or failure they've had.
