To be quite honest your best off getting a price from your favored retailer.
As a rough guide... maybe $150 for a pair of kings, and maybe $180 for a pair of Generic style shocks.

I like my 3 pack wagon set best  Yup!! agree with that. couple months back I went back to 2 with a half leaf purely to get it to sit a bit lower & have been kicking my self for doing it ever since!! I also have a 4 pack custom set with reverse Eyes in one of my coupes, was done by ped...

Hey mate,
Where abouts do you live? I'd say most of us have a few of them sitting around in the shed not doing much if you want a second hand one?
(can measure it later on if your still wanting to know?)
Nick.

Mic_77, by the sounds of it you have the rear shocks relocated on your galant? Could you take some pictures of the their new location?
Would be interested to see what you have done there.

Cheers scorp16. Funnily enough, was just disconnecting lines and cables to them having a look at what it could be, put them back together and their not doing it as bad :wut: Thinking maybe a tight cable could also be a culprit? Re: Rockers hitting under the valve cover
I can post a shot if it helps..... Might be good. especially of the intake manifold too. Needless to say, you shouldn't get this happening under normal circumstances. astron 1 2lt & 2.6 use the same rocker cover. So I guess something silly like an astron 2 cover on an astron 1 head could cause ...

Disc brake drag
Hey all, Noticed over the week end one of the rear calipers on the Galant is dragging pretty bad (had to push it out of the shed, flat concrete, and struggled to make it budge on my own) Found it to be the passenger side caliper caliper. And if I shove the hand brake lever thing (where the cable att...

Got to love finding those things when you get it all together... Few things I can think of: -Make sure the outer part of the cable is securely held in place, not slipping, on the gear box end. -What thrust bearing are you using? From memory the jap & borg use different items "I think" ...

A single 40 is going to be maxed out on a 2lt, but i guess tune it low and should be right for daily duties.
-Do you know what is in it at the moment?
-choke size, main jet, pump jet, idle jet?
Also, what letter is stamped after DHLA40_ ?

He adjust the tappets and set everything up whilst he had the head To adjust the tappets you need the engine at operating temperature - so he would of done a rough setting whilst cold. As for your "squeek" sort of a noise? if your not confident in what your looking at then I recommend get...

Re: 4g63 SOHC 8 valve carby lifter questions
Few questions first. Have you adjusted the tappets since it's been back together? When you changed the rocker gear over, did you keep the cam bearing caps with their respective heads? Bit hard to say with out being in front of it, but as you said, pinging is more of a tapping/knock sort of noise (a ...

Not meaning to sound rude, but probably not worth the trouble of finding a twist drill that will do it. My guess is you would have a difference of .2mm or .3mm, something small. drill bits arn't really available in those increments (unless you have an awesome shop/shed lol). Just wait till Monday an...

Re: Fan clutch to waterpump issues
Have you got some vernier calipers? or better yet a micrometer set? Would be interesting to measure the two surfaces and see what the difference is. Wouldn't be too much work at all to slightly open up the hole in the clutch to suit; would require a lathe to do it properly though. Setting up a therm...

I think I read somewhere that the EFI filters will starve a carby engine of fuel due to the greater pressure required to push the fuel through it. starting to think pressure of the fuel line isnt accurate despite the regulator Pull the top off both carbs and check the float level of the fuel. If it's where it's meant to be then the fuel pump etc is fine. To help fault find (& get a ball park area for balancing the carbs), remove dizzy lea...
