Re: The imported jap-spec GJ GSR 1984 (MOVED BACK!)
Spoke to John Craig of John Craig Assessing, and he's not terribly impressed at his name being brought up, he said he remembered Flav of Zoom Tuning, but never heard back from after he was told he had to pay in advance for the report as he might not like the result. I've given John my mobile numbers...

 ROFL I like how G enius posts up what Flavia/Zoom Tuning trys to convince VCAT actually happened, No the car never had a dented bonnet at Flavia/Zoom Tuning, nor did it get replaced in the 3 days after it was picked up from Flavia/Zoom Tuning, so YES Flavia/Zoom Tuning was the LAST person...

Thanks Brendon, have sent off an email to Iron Chef Imports, I have also spoken to the owner of the red mitsubishi in the picture, it's still for sale and for all intent and purposes appears to be a similar model, will be in touch with him later to see just how much modification he's done to it

Re: Need a quote, and willing to pay for it :D
Nice, gotta love that wing, shall be calling him/her - although factory standard wasnt a drop tank, or intercooler, and it's missing the overriders so shall be interested to see what model it is - but even if it's a mock-up is a indication of what a running gsr is worth these days, not the $900 Flav...

Re: Need a quote, and willing to pay for it :D
it's not my cars history that I've got to prove but the real cost of buying another one, Flav aka Zoom Tuning is suggesting to the court that I could waltz into Car City and buy one for under a grand, so that's why I've got to supply a proper quote - besides I'm going to have to buy anotherone to fi...

I own a 1984 Galant Turbo 2000 that I'm currently taking Zoom Tuning aka Flavio Sibilla to VCAT over, due to the fire damage in my other post. Now in VCAT Flavio (aka Zoom Tuning) is repeatedly trying his level best to convince the Judge that my Galant Turbo 2000 is in fact a very common everyday Gj...

Re: CAN WE FINALLY CONFIRM WHAT MODEL SIGMA THIS IS?
My 1984 Galant A160 looks like an Australian GJ GSR sigma, and thats where the similarities end. It does however have a factory standard 4g63b SOHC 2litre turbo and 4 speed auto factory gearbox in it. The 82 Starion has a simular motor but the wiring loom is totally different.

ok maybe I'll keep the Datsun stock(ish) - it's good to be able to get 550kms outa a standard a12 4 speed with a 40litre tank, and still look good doing it, lol So...... I was actually thinking of taking the engine and running gear (4 speed factory auto, 4 wheel disk brakes, IRS), outa the galant as...

Re: Past rides
I needed another car whilst my baby waited to learn of her fate, so I bought this as a daily driver, which I've been slowly upgrading. Will keep it with an A12 in it, but will be eventually bored out to 1380 and supercharged, after all the other bits I've acumilated have been put in - ie disk brake ...

Mines got a boost gauge, it's all digital though, lineal increments ( lower lhs bottom of dash) http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u165/lowmion/sigma5.jpg and the boot spoiler is one piece with the boot and not as pronounced as the GSR shown http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u165/lowmion...

Im on no ones side mate. Im as neautral as they come. But continual bagging of people is something that people jump the gun at. Thats not just a single person but looking all over your starion site, and others, it seems to run a little rampant. What we all need to understand here is that if you mak...

 Mate, you should really have a go at fixing it. The damage isn't that bad. Lots of burned rubber and hoses but with a clean up i reckon your half way there. No thanks mate, I paid my hard earned to have it repaired, as you're obviously well aware as soon as someone else 'fix's it' it chan...

Does anyone know of a mechanic and an auto electrician that can come visit and supply a quote for the repairs needed ? I'll Quote you for repairs. Shop around : 1 x GJ SIGMA. $500 1 X JA STARION $800 Now thats being for whole cars. I would think you could get just the bits you need for about $200 t...

Re: repair bill quote
I would say that you should look at the valuations given to the Starions are they would be the closest match to you vehicle or maybe try and see what it'd cost to get an importer to get one in Aus for and use that as a basic valuation. A standard valuation from anywhere typical would prob try and s...

Re: repair bill quote
well LUV were willing to insure it for 12k inspection needed, but it needed central locking, 3 point alarm and immobiliser, RACV were convinced it came with a factory super charger and not a turbo, so refused to insure it and just cars would but therir premium was insane. As for Shannons - not impre...

repair bill quote
I have a question - How do I get 3 different repair bill quotes for my Galant Turbo 2000? Gotta arm myself with information for VCAT and get a real valuation on what it, was worth before. So how much would you buy a fully rewired, fully rebuilt, mint interior, RWC and regoed 1984 Galant Turbo 2000 f...

Atleast you're on the way to getting some rectification.
Still sucks about the loss though.

I many more photo's and video footage, taken whilst checking up on the car and no-one being there. The powersteering unit had not been put back in the car at the time it was picked up, it (the car) being unfinished, and was in the boot still. The fire was on the RHS of the motor and the embers I ori...

 Because the wiring loom wasnt finished being installed properly the car-alarm tech's @ Jb said they didnt recommend installing the alarm - as depending on what needed to be finished, could mean the alarm would have to be re-installed and intergrated a second time - so wait till the loom w...
