GB Galant DIff
Hi all was wondering if anyone has done a conversion on a diff in a GB to something with disc brakes thats a bit more common then the sigma or scorp diffs? Ta

Hey guys i have a 4g32 in the galant i have atm and i plan on keeping it. The issue i have is it has a silly auto box on it and was curious besides the stock 4 or 5spds that go onto them is there other newer gearboxes that fit or has anyone tried to make fit? yeah needs a tune and the jets in it i think are to big 125 for primarys and 140s for secondrys im not to worried atm it still drives ok do plan to spend some more time on it soon when wifey lets me

Yah i thought about it this afternoon some more and yeh the 1 carby atm is doing a nice job in making the car go now and 2 means 2 times the tuning and alot more effort to make it go right on a stock engine. Down the track when i get some spare cash might build a bit well more beefy or well as beefy...

No it doesnt have the factory air cleaner with it, kinda annoying but can make a stainless one so not really an issue. The carbies arent complete well most of them are but seem to be a few bits missing a the linkages arent there either but the main well metal part that runs across the bottom of it s...

Hey everyone was just curious if there are some other idicators that i can put on a gd galant wagon indicators for the gaurds. I know it isnt the way of doing it but they seem like that they are a challenge to find so looking for the cheat ways out.....

Yeah the head is ok to use and i know how to weld ally too so that helps. I am chasing though it seems hard to find is a down draft webber they seem like they have all gone hmmm..

Today I started work on the grape (my galant). Got the inlet and exhause off it with out to of an issue which is always handy, got the radiator out and a few other minor things all was going well until i got to the head studs......The saga begines here. Had to go to 3 different shops to the required...

hey was curious when changing it over to electronic ignition do i use a gk or gn distributor i have seen posts of both and curious to which to use. And is it as simple as just pulling out the old one replacing the coil and basic rewiring. I am sure its on the forum somewhere but its kinda hard to us...

Thanks for the help guys much appreciated. I plan to keep the galant pretty much 100% stock maybe some extracors ( plan to weld some stainless ones up, if people are keen after i master one set i could make more who knows. Might also put some different rims on it and thats pretty much it and a respr...

Its currently a 4sp manual with stock 1600 i plan to keep the motor at least for a while but it will be doing some high way driving and don't really want it screaming i know they go and i plan to do a rebuild in the engine in the next month to make it go well again.
