Re: LA Lancer Rebuild (Deux)
When you mean plenum... Are you building a box that bolts to the carbs, then runs down to a filter box like the injection setups? That's correct.. my current setup is a long panel filter which sits on the side of a plenum attached to the twin weber's, I'll mock something up this week to see if its ...

Re: Duratec and S2000 conversions
ya i have to say 300hp would be a overly costly exercise and out of the realms of sensibility for a road car. if i can get close to 200hp I'll be happy camper with a NA motor. apparently from what I've read SBD Motorsport http://www.sbdev.co.uk/SBD%20Motorsport%20Display.htm have managed 214bhp at t...

Re: Windscreens and glass
Damn Dan that's some thick stuff alright ...is the whole interior leather? I'm just wondering if its the leather sweating and releasing its oils, not that im suggesting you should strip your interior to find out, but i recon if you had venting problems from your engine, surely you would be able to s...

Re: Windscreens and glass
See if you can source yourself some pure alcohol, my wife's a makeup artist and has it in large containers, and it makes cleaning windscreens a breeze, it seems to get rid of every bit of oily reside ..it may be possible to find them as a wipe too they actually include them when you get those stick ...

Re: LA Lancer Rebuild (Deux)
The 2nd Picture is kinda growing on me ....can you do one with a little bit of separation between the light mounts and the striping so it doesn't look like all one piece of black
...love the idea however, cheers.

Re: LA Lancer Rebuild (Deux)
Sorry Dave i missed a little bit of your post earlier about the dash ...i modified the left and right mounting points to suit, and used one piece of 10mm mdf for the dash, and then cut the binnacle down and placed a flat piece of perspex over it (simple but effective) the only addition is some after...

Re: LA Lancer Rebuild (Deux)
So continues the saga of a man and his Lancer... I kept on working on the wiring and moved the battery to the boot, while the engine was being completed. and made a start on the new door cards and the area behind the rear seats ..(still tracking down photos) but i basically made a frame from aluminu...

Re: LA Lancer Rebuild (Deux)
I've had this Lancer since around 1986, so its got a fair bit of sentimental value to me. From what I can remember it was won in a competition by the first owner, and was then sold to a couple before me who used it to take their scuba diving gear in it...unfortunately that meant a few rust issues in...
