Re: 75 Wagon
I have my VR4's old starter on the g52 . I don't have a g63 to try, if I get a chance to head back to the junkyard today, I'm going to see about snagging one off a 7G galant, because they are a 90amp on the 2.4s.
Also got the starion gas pedal too for the Coupe (cable throttle) .

Re: 75 Wagon
Snagged a alternator off a 89 Starion (Ours are all G54B turbos), now to both fix and upgrade from the old one since the voltage regulator died.
Re: 75 Wagon
Need to find out what alternators are compatible lol. Voltage regulator died so it's putting 16.6v to the battery.

Re: 75 Wagon
I like the big chrome bumpers, just not the 76+ that have the ugly rubber corners. Small bumpers would be great, but like you said, the car carries them just fine! . Scored a 2.0l carby from a friend that had a rebuilt one hiding in his shed (he had upgraded to a holley one). Had to clean...
Re: 75 Wagon
No more Colt badges, though I still have the holes for them, but eh it will get repainted eventually at some point. Thought about putting the Galant badges over the existing holes, but looked up pics of other cars, realized they sit much lower and agreed it would look weird if the badge sits up that...
Re: 75 Wagon
Next immediate mod is adding a SG sticker, that's a automatic +50hp . Just need to find out where I put them.

Re: 75 Wagon
I understand the difference between the too, however I was having issues with my 2.0l carb, which was pretty sure the float needed replacing, but you can't just buy a new float or find a 30-32 DIDTA mikuni around here in the states. I won't go into more detail on the 2.0l carb, I got so fucking fed ...
Re: 75 Wagon
Nope, it's rocking the original 4g32's 28-30 Mikuni downdraft on the g52 currently, until I can afford some 40mm Dellorto sidedrafts.

Re: North/south east/west swap?
g64 swap would be the pretty much the same as a g63 swap and if you add DOHC on top of that if it wasn't already then yeah it adds more complications to a swap. The only relative difference between the two though is deck height, the 64 is a few inches/mm taller than the 63 block. I just did a g32 to...
Re: 75 Wagon
Got her running after I swapped out the auto starter for the one from my VR4 (Manual car) start up Got to work on the idle now, before I hooked up the throttle pedal rod (Our cars have bell crank throttle pedal setups, no cable) it will idle, afterwards not so much, but there is also a vacuum port I...

Re: 75 Wagon
True on one side I found out after pulling the rubber off, on the other side it was when it just slid off on the other side, thus leaving the those bolts and rubber still attached to the car.
Re: 75 Wagon
Ironically the left fender and hood are originally blue beneath the red paint. The hood is matte black on top and red underneath, however some paint has chipped to reveal blue underneath that, and the fender shows bits of blue around the bolt holes. I'm thinking it wasn't recent that the hood and fe...

Re: Random Galant Pictures (ADD HERE)
Probably is because that is a 74 Colt as you can tell by the tail lights are USDM and small bumpers.geezer101 wrote:OMG - is that a scene from CHiPs? Clearly not a pic from a passing motorist in NSW or the cops would've tasered the driver repeatly.

Re: Gb rally edition
Nope. Late GD's maybe, but I still don't think so? LB Lancer hatches had both chain and belt, LC's had all belt. GE Sigma's (the 4G32 one's anyway) all had belt. I'd say it wasn't till the late LB/2nd Gen lancers and the Siggies that got the G32Bs. Even all the 77-79 Lancers here have chain drives,...

Re: KM110 + g52 questions
So I acquired a g52 flywheel, however the ring gear is a bit chewed up, seems to be that the L200 at the wrecker's had some starter issues and chewed up several of the teeth. So if I swap a g63 ring gear on (correct tooth count) will I need the g63 starter too or should I be alright with the g52 sta...

my hilux rear is a 4.10, 3.90s are hard to come by out here, most of the hiluxes here were 4.10 or 4.30s, 3.9s not so much.
