that's sooo much torque. I wanna see a rich car nut like the Sultan of Brunei build a car to scale around that engine just for the hell of it.the Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96C in line 14 cylinder
max power 108,920 Hp @ 102 rpm
max torque 5,608,312 ft/lb torque ( over 5 1/2 million ft/lb ) @ 102 rpm

Re: ddt's 1979 GE sigma wagon 'LIL RED WGN'
Got LIL RED WGN lowered with King springs all round earlier this week but as outlined on a different thread; the fronts came down lower than specified and the rears almost unchanged which results in a pronounced rake front to rear. King springs part number for rear lowered springs for a w...

Hi there,
Welcome to Sigma-galant!
I have a 1979 "chrysler" sigma wagon. Your sigma is one year older but has "GH" front and rear ends that we didn't get until 1980.
I like your plans for your car -good luck with the project!

so cheap -it cost me more to do it myself! lol -though the sedan headlining is almost half the size of wagon's. Looks greatTook my headlining out the other day to get redone as it was sagging badly. Got it back today, very happy with how it came out. $50

Re: LA Lancer Rebuild (Deux)
Wow, your LA is unique and looks stunning. I'm also impressed you've held on to it for so long. I love LA lancers but the rear is my least favourite side because the regular tail light treatment makes the car appear even narrower than it really is. Have you considered some pinstriping or blacking ou...

Are you sure the spring's are installed and sitting in the correct position? Was your origional spring's modified in any way? chopped, sagged.... Well, there were pedders springs in the rear but the ride height looked totally stock to me -see old pic below and new pic below. The wheel centres were ...

Lowering sigma wagon with King springs -WTF?
OK, King springs only have a 30mm lowering option according the local distributor. That's fine cos tinkering in photoshop i ideally wanted 30mm for the front and 20mm for the rear. So i take it in but what happens is that the front comes down 50mm and the rear 0mm. WTF? The dudes say they use the eq...

Re: sigma clearance lights (front L&R bumpers)
There's a nut holding the 'peak' lights down directly underneath it. You'd probably have to take off the fender- or at least enough bolts to reach under there. EDIT: woops GLANT got there first -sounds like he knows better -i didn't know about any hole in the engine bay (also assuming it is same as ...

Re: Car hesitates when you stab the throttle.?
it could be you have an air leak bypassing the carby. Either at the base of the carb or at the manifold? Could also be the carby itself; The accelerator pump on the carb is meant to meter extra fuel when you suddenly accelerate. Without it, the mixture will be too lean for a moment and could cause h...

Re: ddt's 1979 GE sigma wagon 'LIL RED WGN'
I wish they made them for Galant wagons? (they don't. I've tried) I might have to make them, if I really want them That reminds me when i had my 8 seater TS magna wagon and was thinking how to make up venetians for the rear sides by butchering up an old set of wooden blinds i had. Never got round t...

Re: ddt's 1979 GE sigma wagon 'LIL RED WGN'
Venetians usually have tabs that are jammed into the rubbers. The tabs are fitted to the uprights and are held in place with grub screws. I find it hard to believe that they don't have them. Have a close look. Ah OK -that's exactly how i had mounted the one in the pic! But there's definitely some k...

Test fitting some 2nd hand venetians i got a while back. The tint is quite dark so effect is subtle. Anyone fitted venetians before? It looks as though they were glued in place -probably using that glue made for sticking up rear vision mirrors to windscreens? I don't really want to commit that far t...

Re: ddt's 1979 GE sigma wagon 'LIL RED WGN'
thanks for the comments. The GEs had a smaller rolling diameter than the GHs -i think 175/75r13s so 195/55r15 is closer to original. 185/60r15 is a bit bigger but is a bit narrower less chunkier tyre. I might keep the 195/60r15s on the back to give me more legs but put the narrower ones on the front...

Re: ddt's 1979 GE sigma wagon 'LIL RED WGN'
Put on a set of turbo rims (Globe Montego) that i got from Smithy. They were fairly rough but had all the centre caps. I hit em with heaps of 120 GRIT wet and dry, making sure that the final passes were in the same direction and did a once-over with 400 grit. I didn't want a 'chrome' finish as i thi...
