Re: Obsession over a not-so rare car!
I personally like XE-XF falcons.
Yes i realise they lokk a bit like tissue boxes with the corners cut out but i like them.
I have an 87 XF s-pak sedan, 5 spd manual, shadow grey in colour.
I've had more cars than girlfriends but I've kept this car the longest...I even chose to keep the XF over my GN.

So give it a major service. Pay attention to brakes and stuff.
Hopefully it won't take too long.

Re: LC Lancer hatch. AKA "Larry"
Most likely gonna have to change the drivers side front guard...
Its got little rust holes in it and one area has about 5 or 6 kilos of bog in it.
Lucky there is a couple of spares.

Just curious why the forum is one hour behind the time.
Is it cos I'm in NSW and the forum is based interstate or does it not change with daylight savings?

LB/LC hatch mod
Is it possible to cut and weld LC hinges onto an LB hatch so it fits the LC?
The LB hatch looks to physically fit the LC but the hinges are different.

Username change?
Hey just wondering if its possible to change my username....
It seems silly to be known as si85gma and not own the sigma anymore.
I just wanna change it to something with my name in it instead of a car i don't own anymore.
Please let me know
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Random Lancer pix!
The black lancer from FF&R in the early 90's wasn't a uni project.
My dad built this with his best mate in a carport in sydney.
So much for a uni engineering program as stated in th magazine.
Dad's mate has the magazine too.

Re: LC Lancer hatch. AKA "Larry"
My dad bought larry as a joint project for myself and si81gma.
Sold my sigma but i've been told its up for sale again in north wyong.
Somehow i think 18's are too big for a car that originally wore 13" shoes...
I think we're sticking to steelies.... Sleeper style

Re: Common problem?
I think the uni joint is buggered too cos the car clunks when you lift your foot when changing gears.
All of a sudden i think it was a good idea that dad and i rebuilt the clutch in one of the others in the yard and that we have spare diffs, tailshafts etc

The noise doesn't seem like it effects the driveability but then again its done it the whole time we've had it so we don't know what it was like before the noises. Judging by how the previous owner treated the car i wouldn't be suprised if the whole car needs attention, especially the oily bits, aft...

It seemed to me that the LB hatch physically fits the LC's but the hinges are different.
Is it possible to cut and weld the hinges so they bolt on??
oh and si81gma when are you next coming and working on larry with me?
Its kinda boring with no one to talk to

Hey guys, My dad just bought my sister ( si81gma ) and I a 1979 LC hatchback as a project. ( Can be seen in build section under "Larry" ) Was just wondering if they are known to make strange whine from somewhere in the rear end? Not sure if its the diff or bearings or brakes but it only ha...
