Cheap Hydraulic HandBrake
Hey guys, Ive always wanted a Hydraulic handbrake. But when they are asking around $400 for a complete unit, Probably out of the price range for most. So i thought i would show a post how I made myself a Hydraulic Handbrake for cheap, And using basic tools and parts around the shed.. and you can use...

Re: 4G63T into sigma?
I put the 4G63T Sirius (Starion) into my 76Lancer Went in a treat. Infact easier fit than the factory Sigma turbo motor! The Engine mounts needed alittle modding, of the bolt holes. The stock gear box is Hydraulic clutch rather than Cable, but these guys can direct you to a Sig Box that bolts up. Th...

Totally agree, if its just for dirt, try keeping the stock for aslong as you can.
then maybe the Hilux or B/W, thats what everyone else seems to be running.

The Sigma Diff i put in my 4door was too wide. I priced a Hilux diff from a wrecker, looking at the $800-$900 mark with drums and non LSD (prob because they are so popular these days) then as I said, you need to have it shortened, Buy the LSD centre, Fit disks, plus all the same stuff i have had to ...

Re: Changing rear wheel bearings
i have done it both ways, but if you have access to a Press then do it that way. you have to be very careful when cutting it with a grinder disk, as you can score the bearing mounting surface. So pressing it off is the best option as it leaves the least possible damage. And pressing a new item onto ...

Billsy do you use a Air/Fuel ratio gauge in conjunction with your on the fly tuning?

ahh ok, yeah just saw it did say BW thanks for that man! So you have had me pondering afew questions now. No worries Stealth :D as I said I appreciate any feed back. Interesting that you blew 2 cusco 9" centres. Guessing they are Mechanical LSD? And you are resorting to a full spool. As I said when i first started this, i wanted bullet proof, and not completely locked diff in a street driven car. J...

Re: Bullet Proof Diff conversion for any vehicle!
You are right BIG26L, the average daily or street car wont need all this, and it is absolutely overkill. But speaking for myself, i have been let down with blown drivelines plenty of times. For a daily streeter, a patrol diff, Major overkill, a 9" probably is too. And not to speak for Stealth, ...

all good points, just another option for you ;) As I said I chose to keep the 6 stud so i could use the much bigger brakes And my mags are FWD Offset, so i needed a Spacer plates made anyway... You could always get the axles machined down and redrilled to suit 4 stud, but the PCD is too small to use...

Oh i agree, that for a standard item it was a good price, but the abuse mine will recieve i wanted a LSD diff with more strength and durability espec in the axle department. 15" rims is the smallest it can fit with the standard brakes. But you could always machine the axles down to accept the S...
