Re: 4g32 differences

Hi! I don't know that much about Galants but by having a look at the production dates of those Galants (1972 to 1976 (wikipedia)) I would say that these had the chain driven version of the 4G32. But I don't know from which year your 4g32 engine is so it also could be belt driven. I don't think that ...

Re: Ideas for a 1600

My old 4G32 engine had these mods: - twin Dellorto DHLA40-H carburators from an Alfa Romeo - the cylinderhead was modified with a fast camshaft and polished valves as wel as new valve guides, the cylinderhead is extra planed(?) for a higher compression. - 1 of the silent shafts is disconnected excep...

Re: Hi all

Hi Dave! You have also a nice Celeste/Lancer LC! :) What are your intentions with it? I want to put mine as original as possible from the outside, decals and logo's from the 1977 model in stead of the 1978 model (meaning it will be with the horse logo's on the steering wheel center cap and wheel hub...

Re: Inlet Port Modification.

Does this help: http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tech/0610phr_cylinder_head_porting/index.html or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cylinder_head_porting As far as I understand it the angled in way is the best for the airflow because of the following reasons: - port diameter is bigger -> more air to the ...

Re: Plastic bit on end of gear stick

Hi Webby.

Which one do you want to replace by a metal one? The one at the end of the lever (white) or the other one (red/brown) or both?

Re: Plastic bit on end of gear stick

Hi I'm also looking for that brown/red bushing for my KM132 5-speed gearbox. Does anyone know if these could fit? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Gearbox-Shifter-Bush-Kit-Pajero-Challenger-Lancer-L200-/170545317581?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b54b06cd#ht_4677wt_748 I've send them a mail to ask...

Re: timing cover removal on 4g54

Hi! I don't know how it looks like but broken bolts can be removed by using extractors. (be carefull with the screwing, when the extractor breaks, it's a pain in the *ss to get them out, the material of the extractor is really hard). And if the thread is damaged you can renew it with a tap and die s...

Re: LC Lancer hatch

really nice with all the gauges on a row. We (Europe except for the UK) have the radio in place of the Ammeter and oilpressure-gauge. Those gauges are located next to the clock in the lower center console in the 2000GT and 2000GSR models. The 1600ST doesn't have the gauges but has warning lights in ...

Re: LC Lancer hatch

Now you see why I gave up on the sedan when this was on offer... I love the hatches, I don't think they get anywhere near enough love. They have the best dash, it's like sitting in an airplane... Dave... Congrats! Looks great! :) My dad also used to say that the dash looks like one of an airplane! ...
