Hi everybody
My vic plates "OWLNCR" are still for sale and btw, they will be going to the person that buys my car from Lloyd's classic car auction on the 25th March (if they are from Victoria).
Anyone else, make me an offer

Re: Lancer SR20
Hi Karl,
The motor is set back a fair way (the firewall is recessed about 25mm and the tunnel was massively modified to fit the big nissan gearbox.
So basically, the motor went rearward as much as required until it cleared the drag link

Re: little hulk
Are you absolutely sure that you need a booster to be legal?
Mine hasn't got one (for the same space restrictions) and the Engineer had no problem with it at all.
Was registered in Vic and simply changed over now into QLD reg.
I'm used to it now so you just push the pedal harder

Re: Lancer SR20
Thanks orangelancer :) I hope you may have picked up on the interior theme. If not, the blue flash on the door trim continues into the rear. It is the shape of the "L" in the Lancer badge. My sister came up with that and we worked around some designs. The interior guy did a great job of it...
Re: Teaser
Great build Dave ! The engine looks like a really nice fit. How did you get the 295 tyres legal in QLD? Not sure what you did with the bumpers (presume you grafted new ends onto them). I agree with the "more blackouts" comment but this is "your vision" not ours. Would love to vie...

Re: LC Lancer "Dream Build Q's"
In my opinion - it's got to be a 340 small block. Some w5 or Dart alloy heads, a nice little roller cam and multi point electronic injection. A nice Torqueflite auto (not too much stall) or 5 speed gbox. A decent Chrysler LSD diff with 3.5 gears ..... sounds like HEAVEN !! Exactly what was planned f...

Windscreens are readily available so don't know why you would have any trouble.
I believe they are made up here in QLD if new stock needs to be made!

Re: Belial's Mini Mopar (LC Lancer)
Bloody "mint" car you picked up :D Love your ideas ! With the mirrors - I used LX Torana/HX Kingwood ones on mine. Suits the square lines of the car much better than the "silly round standards ones" - which I note yours doesn't have :\ I presume that you won't be fitting the 265 ...

Gidday Mark, Yeah, the wheels I'm very happy with ! I got it registered the week before we left back in Aug 2014. The maiden voyage was a lazy 2000km (Melb to Gold Coast) and it hasn't missed a beat. (H) Drive her every day. Bumped into "lca18" the other day and we compared nissan powered ...

Re: Lancer SR20
Thanks Dave :D Scorpma82 - The bracket is "custom". The starion struts are quite different to the Sigma struts so you would have to suss the Magna calipers out. I know the mounting ears on the Starion (from memory) are vastly different ! Belial - The rear bumper was pretty straight forward...

Struts are Sigma large diameter with VP Commodore top hats and very modified Sigma lower arms. Koni's (adjustable) for front I think are RAV 4 revalved etc ..... but can't remember what the rears are? The Magna calipers are adapted via. a "dog bone" steel adaptor that I machined myself - w...

Hi Taz, Mine uses a GE 1979 Scorpion diff with 3.7 (or 3.9 gears) ..... I think it may be the same centre as the standard Lancer ? I did the mods myself. Removed the scorp suspension mounts etc... , Jigged up standard diff, removed leaf spring brackets and welded them back onto the scorp diff. I thi...

Hi Madmuz, I think I can answer some questions ! Sigma diff - not interchangable frt susp struts - yes I think so as i'm using them in mine however I have modified Commodore strut tops and different inserts you can bolt Starion vented discs straight to one of the Sigma front struts (the big bearing ...

Well, you'll all be happy to know that i've "manned up" and have no power steering on my LC Lancer. It is "heavy" to park and manouver around tight round abouts, but once you are moving, it is beautiful to drive :P Just waiting for the arrival of my 17" wheels and new tyres ...
