Re: LC BUMPERS
The LB rear bumper fits straight on (except for the side mounts - where you will need to make your own fixing arrangements) The front is another matter  The main mounting holes on the bar need to be slotted to move the bar upwards (about 10 - 15mm at most) Then the mounting panel under the gr...

Nup !
Couldn't get a similar unit to bolt into same position
Would love power steering - I guess I'll have to "bulk up"

Hi James, I used Knox carpets (for the carpets) They were brilliant - made my set in 15 mins while I waited !! :| I had a guy do my door trims etc ... from Straightline Motor trimmers 8720 0999 (ask for Steve and mention that Lindsay recommended you) He did a brilliant job for a fair price ! Re: Tyres on Scorp .Rims.
My choices are 0 and +20 offset !
Probably 16 x 9" rear and 16 x 8" fronts
I will have some test tyres fitted up to the car and play with the offsets before I order them some time in the new year
thanks for your help Dave

Re: Tyres on Scorp .Rims.
Thanks Dave, Offset is offset - no matter what the width :) Just remembered I'm using a Scorpion disc brake rear end which is close to 12mm wider each side ... So I think zero offset is going to be very close for the rears (14 - 12 = 2) Fronts I will start with the +20 offset wheel option...

Re: Tyres on Scorp .Rims.
Hi Dave,
So judging by the pics and this info, the aprox optimum offset would be moved 10mm to the outside.
This would mean a +14 offset wheel.
Does that sould correct ?

Thanks very much Dave,
Just as I thought - the inner guard will be the limiting factor !
Do you know the offset of the wheels ?

Re: My LC Lancer Hatch.....
Hi Dave,
So would 255 or 265s be a chance to fit ?
My guard lips are rolled (only about 5mm) .... but with a perfect offset ?
I'll probably try 235+ on the front of mine and it has a little neg camber too !

Thanks Dave, Yes, I would normally agree with you with my experience with "Holden's" .... but doesn't seem the case with mine at least ! I guess my query about the 4 and 9 is becoming irrelivant now - as it is not the number I will give to VicRoads or my Insurance company  Lindsay

Re: Help with Chassis number
Thanks Dave,
Ok, The build plate and the "strut" number match ...... but I "beg to differ" that the body/chassis serial numbers match the build plate ! (nothing even close to similar)
neither mine or Mark's match
Can you check yours for me ?

Re: Help with Chassis number
Thanks Mark, Can anyone advise the difference between the following ? : 1. Number stamped on strut tower ... eg. LC72536KL3741234 (not my actual number) - this appears on the aluminium build plate ! 2. Number stamped into firewall ...... eg. A73-3121234 (not my actual number) The A73 is the one I'm ...

Help with Chassis number
Hi, I've got a bit of a problem with reading the "font" on my chasis number plate. I need this for insurance ... and of course VicRoads won't give me that information (hasn't been registered for a long time) It typically reads A73-1721840 ..... but the problem I'm having is reading the &qu...

Hi all,
What is the correct procedure to adjust the Rear Brake Caliper Pistons on a GE Scorpion ?
........... or

Re: LC Lancer SR20
Hi guys, I thought the wiring part would be pretty quick and easy !! How wrong was I 8o| As much as it is straight forward hooking up wires, running them to the correct spots from all corners of the car and joining back up to original connectors etc is probably the hardest thing I could have done. A...

Re: Voltmeter for LC Hatch ?
Thanks all + tubby,
I don't want to change the original look of the guages (I had a new electronic speedo customised to replicate the original look too).
I'll see if I can find an old pajero and research that thought !
P.S. A/F guage sounds like a cool thought btw - but not for me !
