Re: Mrelshauno's 1850 (GD) Coupe begins

In stripping down the body I found rust behind the bumpers. Looked good from the outside; http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y454/mrelshauno/Bumpers001_zpsd2921156.jpg But in behind it was a different story; http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y454/mrelshauno/Bumpers002_zpsebe1a701.jpg Close up; ht...

Bumpers - What to do?

Hi guys, After some advice. My GD Coupe bumpers are in fairly good nick (lucky I know, made up of bits to get what I've got) but has scaly rust on the back of both of them. I thought of sand blasting but I don't want to risk damaging the chrome as it's pretty good. I thought I could give them a good...

Re: All Galant owners please read and respond

I'm not 100% sure in other states but nsw its illagal to have fiberglass body panels Yeah, I've got a mate with a 1600, and he has fibreglass bonnet and guards, he can't use them on his car unless it's a track car. Apparently it effects the way the car responds in an accident (crumple zones). This ...

Re: Gto build

I had a look at the website video for Knox and was a bit so-so on it. I have seen people say that it needs a bit of modification too. I purchased this; http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/mitsubishi/interior/auction-548258965.htm I haven't installed it yet but it looks very cool. W...

Re: A number of questions, please have a go>

Thanks again Jason. I do agree about the chrome look anyway. It will look good against the red that it will be painted. The gap to the tower is tighter than that in mine. Something to sort out I think. Rubber seal is now added to the list of parts required. Number 4 problem has been resolved. Some g...

Any NZ owners of these?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there were any New Zealand members on this forum with a Sapporo/Scorpion?
I am looking for a rear diff for one if someone can help.

Re: Diff width

Go Scorpion diff, you can buy Starion limited centres that slide right in and you do not need to shorten them. Check my build thread, I just fitted on to my hardtop with my 15x8 +0 wheels Just checked that, very promising I would say if I can find one here. :( I check Trade Me every so often for Sa...

I don't think they are modified. There has been a prang in that corner some time in the past. The master cylinder looks to be the same as the one pictured in my Haynes manual.

I'm pulling things apart as part of the rebuild and are coming up with various questions. Diff width

Being a lazy buggar and not wanting to take my wheels off, is anyone able to tell me the width of a diff on a GC/GD Coupe from drum face to drum face?
Looking at upgrading to something to give me Discs without much mucking around and lsd if poss.
