Thoughts on this diff?

Hi team,

(Edited this thread)

What are people's thoughts on this diff to go into my GD Coupe;
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =559337799

Obviously I need to modify for leaf springs. I know of another one of these lurking around near by as well.

Re: V6 Scorpion

In Speedway over here we modify bellhousings and manifolds all the time. I'm on smartphone at the moment so can't post links but search google.nz for Mark Walford. He will make a bellhousing for anything and makes a heap of other trick bits. For Speedway we put carbs on injected ford and holden sixe...

I've used these guys here in NZ;

Haven't fitted them yet but heard from others they look great. Look good in the box anyway.

Any good to me??? Thats perfect mate. How good are you?!?!?!?!?! Now I just need to find a tacho and lense. Might see if I can get them ex Japan. There is still quite a bit of our stuff sitting on the Mitsubishi shelf over there and some of it is very affordable. I recently got a brand new interior ...

Re: Mrelshauno's 1850 (GD) Coupe begins

Finally had a chance to take the car to work to get the lads at Novus to take the front and rear screens out without f@#%ing anything. Have taken plenty out in the past without any worries but for $200 to take out and put back in again it just wasn't worth the risk. Money well spent I reckon and che...

GC GD Instrument cluster

Hi guys, This follows on from the Centre Console discussion. Can someone please post a pic of their instument cluster as by the sounds of it, (correct me if I'm wrong) in Aussie you get a tacho next to the speedo. Is this correct? In NZ it is a clock the same size as speedo. Also, on the centre cons...

Re: GC GD Centre Console?

An interesting thread this as I have never seen these consoles in NZ. Ours were different. Just the one type as they were all 1850cc engines with a 4 speed. If you look at my build thread; http://www.sigma-galant.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=9591 You will see mine has been retrimmed in one of the pi...

Surely it wouldn't be to hard to do a f/glass mould of the C pillar trims. I had one plastic welded so I now have a pair that are ok but I had thought of having a go in glass.

Sounds like an identical project to mine. Check the build page. Previous advice is right. Fingers crossed you get lucky and have a 7 bolt crank.

Been busy of late but still collecting parts. Have now got a TD05 turbo instead of the 04 and tonight I picked up a modified EVO 7 inlet manifold that isn't a cut and shut. Hope to start stripping the car for the Panelbeater next week.

Mrelshauno's 1850 (GD) Coupe begins (Pic Heavy)

Hi Guys, I just found this site a week or so ago and was stoked. There are buggar all of my model on this side of the Tasman so it has been great to see all your pics and advice on here. The brief story is this; My first car was a 1976 1850 Coupe (GD). The year was 1993 and I got it off a panelbeate...

Re: How did you find Sigma-Galant.com?

Welcome mrelshauno, looking forward to seeing pics and some more info on your car. 1976 sounds like it might be what were refer to as a GD. Only real difference with the hardtops is flat or lumpy tail lights, lol. Yeah mate, have read more on here, so much to absorb. GD like yours but different gri...

Re: How did you find Sigma-Galant.com?

Yeah, they had different grills and tail lights to what are common in Oz. I will post pics later but our tail lights are "flat"as opposed to seperated like yours commonly are. There were some like this in NZ but buggar all. I've owned 4 now and they have all been the same.

Stoked to have found this site.
Found it via http://www.oldschool.co.nz
Will update you all about my project as time goes on and ask a heap of questions.
I have what we call a 1976 Galant 1850 Coupe (GC Hardtop as I have seen on here)
