Thanks for the reply.
The SOHC motor has a custom grind cam that our engine builder has used in the 4g32's for a long time. We tried a No.5 many years ago but could never get the tune right. Do you have the specs on the DOHC cam?
Thanks,
Dan

4G32 Twin Cam help
Does anyone have any specs for cam shafts for the 4G32 Twink? We have rebuilt the first of ours and it is only making the same power (115 - 120 at the wheels) as our single cam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: 2 x 2 door 4g32 twin cams (2x2x2)
Andrew, Good to hear from you. Yep, still sitting there but it's about to get a birthday. I'm going to try and keep this thread updated with pictures and a few words. We ended up picking up another Twin Cam 4g32 so we are going to run that in it, and i have found a RX2 diff and have a mate getting R...

2 x 2 door 4g32 twin cams (2x2x2)
I thought you guys might be interested in our current builds. My Dad and I are currently replacing the 4g32 in our hillclimb car with a rebuilt 4g32 twin cam as seen below. The old motor put out 120rwhp and won a couple of QLD titles and got a couple of seconds at Nationals. We are hoping for a few ...

Re: 4G32 Twin Cam
Woops,
I have a twin cam 4G32. I thought I'd ask about a gasket kit as it'd make life a little easier not to have to have gaskets made. The head gasket is the easy one, there are a few others that are a little tougher.

Has anybody come across gasket kits for the twin cam? Ours is nearly ready, we just need a few 'odds and ends'.
Any help would be appreciated,

Khrony,
I have coilovers on my LB rally car. They are MCA/ Proflex built by Murray Coote. He recently built a number of sets for some replica African Safari cars. Pretty expensive but absolutely amazing and worth every cent.

Re: 4G54 to RX7 gearbox without fabrication??
I've been researching this as well. There is a Starion on trademe.com with this conversion and Albins do close ratio gears and dogbox conversions for the RX7 boxes. It seems like a decent avenue to persue in terms of a close ratio box for the 4g54. The gearbox options seem to be the weakest link wit...

Re: M6/7 head valve clearances
Thanks for the feedback to date guys.
My engine guy wants to use what he calls a half link in the timing chain. We have one in our 4g32 and it seems fine. Anyone had any trouble with these in 4G54's?

M6/7 head valve clearances
Can anyone confirm whether my flat top pistons will need to be flycut if I take 3 - 3.5mm off a M7 head to increase the compression to a higher level, or are the chambers so deep that the valve clearances will be OK? I am planning on a cam with the following specs - 45 / 71 in 85 / 45 ex with 267 de...

Re: Flares and front Diffuser
I have a mould for the flares that you can see on my 2 door in the members ride section (page 3 I think). I haven't really advertised them because they are pretty basic i.e there is only one mould for all four corners and they have gaps unless you run a rubber strip between the flare and body. I am ...

Re: 4g54 Head conversion
After using the search functions I have come up with the following details which I think answer all of my queries ( these are all Cheater responses from previous posts). Does anyone have any other suggestions? my engine produced it max power at 6100 rpm cam spec 45 / 71 in 85 / 45 ex with 267 deg a...

4g54 Head conversion
Guys, I am after a bit of direction here for my engine builder. I have a 4g54 with the balance shatfs removed, it's been balanced, has a set of flat top pistons and had a 2lt sigma head on it with a slightly bigger cam (grind unknown), better valve springs etc. It runs a set of 45 Webbers, electroni...

Re: Lancer Radiator/Oil Cooler
I have a high comp 2.6NA in a LA and run the laser radiator with two thermo fans and an electric water pump, and it still runs pretty warm. My fans and pump are wired to the ignition and run full time. Luckily it's a rally car so I don't have to cope with traffic etc. I'd go as big as you can with t...

Wouldn't you like to see one of those 2 doors you have storming around the forest looking like this. PM me, I am still interested in buying one of your cars. It would seem a shame to let them go to waste.
