Performance LPG setups ??

I've noticed a few of the members are running straight LPG turbo setup's in their cars, and I'd like to learn more about them. I've worked on plenty of gas powered cars and have a good understanding of the systems but none of those were a performance application or used the gas research style mixer....

Re: GB Galant windscreen rubbers??

Well after removing it I have decided to replace the front windscreen, so I was looking though the Protector windscreen cataloge and noticed that GA/GB galant sedan & wagon, GC/GD wagon only and GD Coupe all share the same windscreen, which is different to the GC/GD sedan. Also noticed after a q...

Re: Simon's GB Galant

Well progress has been slow to say the least, with work and family commitments taking all my time. I've managed to finish the strip and hope to get a full day working on engine bay prep next weekend. Here's a couple more pic's, nothing too exciting, the last one shows an engine option someone was ni...

Re: how much do they weigh?

Although not quite the right model, I've got some figures for GA/GB galants from the back of the trusty gregory's manual (taken from wheels magazine 73). If anything it's good for a laugh : Weight - 889kg quarter mile - 18.5 (two people) top speed - 153km/h (5590rpm in top) power - 100bhp @ 6300, 10...

Re: Simon's GB Galant

Great fun little thing to learn in :o) I'm looking forward to having a car I can ring the neck of, most of my other cars have been early falcons, and with HP exceeding the handling they were always touch and go when pushed hard ;) Well I got some more done before the weekend was over, now pretty mu...

Re: Speedo delay?

Like Chris said check the needle alignment. On alot of the speedo's I've played with the needle is just a press fit on the shaft and can be missaligned. On a camry for example when refitting the needle I push it onto the shaft pointing at 80km, then rotate the needle back to 0km, the needle slips on...

Re: Gear Ratios

If your looking for some good drag racing calculators this site's good. http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/calculators.html For you cobwbs, just measure your tire height. If we say 26.5 inches (probably smaller than that) your doing about 124mph, which is good for about 10.9's going off the calc...

Simon's GB Galant

Well the rebuilt of my Galant is now underway so I figure I'd post up the progress, maby help others with motivation for their projects. So here's the rundown. This is how I got her : http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/scoop075/d-side-s.jpg It's a sound car, good mechanically, with the main ba...

Re: GB Galant windscreen rubbers??

Thanks for the help guys, I'll put the window rubbers in "worry about that later pile" and just go ahead with the paint anyways. Like Scott said a visit in person later down the track with rubber in hand should turn up something.

Cheers

Re: GB Galant windscreen rubbers??

I've had no luck with scotts either, this was the reply to my enquiry :

"No idea who has these.
Thankyou,
Scott."

Guess I will just do the rounds when I have the rubber in my hand and see what might match up to it, hope I can find something, if I do I will pass it on.

Cheers

Re: GB Galant windscreen rubbers??

Thanks for the links but I tried those and neither list a front or rear screen seal. Under something common like a mk2 cortina (ok maby not that common) they list : Screen seal - front 218.498 $114.08 each Convert 1 Screen seal - rear 218.499 $115.49 each Convert 1 Locking strip - plastic chrome - f...

GB Galant windscreen rubbers??

I've been looking around and am yet to find someone who sells front and rear windscreen rubbers for a GB galant sedan. Jackson's seem to have most of the others but I cant see the screen ones listed. I dont really want to have new shiny paint and have to fit the old rubbers again, mine are pretty av...

Another new guy

Hey, I picked up my first Galant a couple of weeks ago, and was happy to find this forum as other info for early Galants seems a bit scarce on the net. The previous owner of the car made a few posts on the old site, so some of you may remember it. It's a bit sad at the moment needing some paint, pan...
