if the rods are gone the mains will be gone , put a pressure gauge on it and see if there is any pressure before you pull anything apart and buy a workshop manual
you dont need any fuel additive.

Re: GC discs on a GA?
if the rear wheel cylinders are the same size as GC should be ok but if GC uses a pressure valve in the rear this should also have one (usually on the firewall in the rear brake line)

99% sure we got saturn engines only but if you get the parts book that should show brakes etc are the same as the Astron engined cars, part by part, so, for example, "if" they had different front springs you would need to fit heaver springs etc, off hand Id say the only difference in chass...

I got the carbies and adaptor plates and can get the manifold, I wonder if it would be better than a single sidedraught ? hmm My guess would be probably yes ..... certainly much more drivable on the street. Sidedraught Weber-type carbs are a PITA on a road car, and singles more so than twins. Progr...

Dave, If you are wanting to change (last time I suggested it the idea got poo poo'd ) you need disc/hubs/cailpers and the caliper mount bracket, you might also need the brake hoses. The discs are available new in the US for A$35 ish plus postage, that could cost you less overall. (my parts book says...
