Re: My GH project

who? sorry, nope. Anyway, after a bit of a sit down, and thinking more about the project, I've remembered what i originally wanted to do with this beasty, which is do it up for racing, so that's what I'm aiming for again.. once it's race prepped and I have money again (ie, next year when I'm working...

Re: VIC CRUISE

I would love to, but my sigma is about oh, 8 months of being even registered let alone cruiseable (although as it will be a race car I doubt it'll ever truely be cruiseable).. hope someone takes some video footage and some photos!
Have a great one guys :)

Re: Tuff auto conversion

ok, cool thanks for that... I'm so so so tempted to stick with the auto for my GH and keep it a street car, but I can pick up a 2.6L and b/w 5 speed for next to nothing, so bang for buck it's probably more appealing.. hmmmmm :|

Re: Calder Park Raceway/Dance floor

A good mate of mine works at Calder park and it's had millions spent on it's renovations in the last 3 years, however there's been a combination of factors hindering it's potential including questionable management, disgruntled ex-employees causing trouble and a very strict (epxensive) set of safet...

Re: Tuff auto conversion

what's the difference between the 3 speed auto from a sigma and that from a Scorpion?
Also what kw/nm would a Sigma auto be able to handle?
I'm starting to think about keeping the auto in my GH after all lol

Just a few photos of the slow progress I'm making. I've run out of money so I'm doing all that I can for free, but I'm having to save up again before I can get the main rust areas fixed.. already slightly outdated but not by much, all that's different is that I've now sanded and etch primed the bogged section of the driver's door, and removed the chrome trim from the rear window too... will start to strip the interior out next.

he's from NZ though so they may have different laws regarding 'glass. That said I don't see why it wouldn't be legal even here, as long as it was high quality, I mean there are plenty of sports cars that made from fibreglass, corvettes, most kit cars, etc.

yeah I'll be doing my own painting and I'll attack that rear section myself. I'll also be taking out the windscreens and getting those bits of rust fixed with new metal. My GH project

Hey Guys, rather than having various posts in different sections, I thought I should make a central post for my GH. I will be uploading photos over time and as I do stuff.. For now, here are some photos of the rust and of my "new" alloys :D http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r271/photocomp...

Re: 2.6L/manual into GH 2.0L/auto

current 2.0L has 340K. I suspect it's either a blown headgasket or rings, because lots of smoke out the rear (although I realise all sigmas do that) and I reckon more oil on the outside of the engine/trans than inside lol. I took it for a drive around the block today for the first time, and it was C...

modified seat rails, can anyone help!?!

G'day! My GH is comfortable except for one thing.. it's soo cramped (seriously, I had more room in my '86 corolla!). I've got the seat all the way back but it's quite pathetic. I'm just glad mine is an Auto, if it was manual, it'd be even worse! I'm wanting to either get custom rails or get my facto...

the obvious answer would be whatever you can find at the right price, however at the moment I'm quite fond of GH Sigmas LOL :D Just be aware, if you're average height or more (ie, 5.10+/178cm+) you may want to consider the newer sigmas, as I think they're bigger, or at least more roomy in the interi...

cool, thanks for that. after some thinking, as I want to try to get this car reg'd as soon as possible and there's enough work to do without even changing to a manual, at the moment I'm just looking at putting in another 2.0L and once it's all reg'd and I've got some money again (damn being a studen...
