4g63 box on a 4g52
Will a 4g63 5 speed box have the right bellhousing to bolt to a 4g52? the one im looking at is a 4g63 box from a 88 L200 and I want to put it into a 4g52 '86 L200. Will it fit? bellhousing? crossmember mounts?

Depends on what model 4G63 you have.
Starion are wide block and L200's and L300's were narrow blocks, AFAIK

Does that mean, a gearbox from a L200/L300 will bolt up to my 2.6 in my auto GJ?
cheers

you might get an L300 box to bolt up but as they are rod control (column shift or remote floor shift) you will never get it to work.bruggz351 wrote:Does that mean, a gearbox from a L200/L300 will bolt up to my 2.6 in my auto GJ?

To see if a Jap box will fit on your Anchortron youll need to find out if its wide or narrow and what the box you have is, some boxes are both some only wide or narrow.... get your tape measure out and measure your top two bolts ... and do a search on wide/narrow. As for mounts keep the mount/crossmember thats on the box you want to use , youll also need an appropriate clutch
"can I put Corolla pistons in my Anchortron with a Hyundai head? will it do better burnouts with 40 solex's? "...... Im so needing coffee...
Re: 4g63 box on a 4g52
it's not that hard to get an l300 box to work besides, then you could mount the gear shifter anywhere you want...even in the boot lol you just need to either find or fabricate a cable shifter to control both axis
