for the brakes, most engineers will want you to have at least sigma brakes,

I'm running GJ Sigma's in mine, fairly straight forward conversion, but there are other options
like using s13 silvia stuff. basically, it can all be done, its just a question of how much money you have
or how much time you have

with the diff, there are many options - hilux, commadore (what i'm using), etc.
but if you're using a CA18, you may as well go get an s13 silvia / 180 sx diff
and do that conversion (fairly certain someone here has already done it...)
as you then know it can cope, and there are a large range of upgrades
for centres and lsds etc,

as for the gearbox, i cant see the gearbox being that much longer than in for example a Datsun 1600
sure you will have to cut up your transmission tunnel, but i think you will have to do that in any case to
get the larger gearbox's into the tunnel. take a look at some of these builds, they might give you some insight
and ideas as to what to use / who to call....

if it was me, i would get all S13 stuff (for driveline), that way you know it will fit together,
it may just be a case of narrowing or shortening to fit inside the galant shell.
also this makes engineering a lot easier too.
