remove galant ignition barrel

hey just woundering if any one has removed the ignition barrel from a galant at all ?, iv had a look but cant work it out, ( like the early commodores ya just turn em to acc then flick a pin and pull the key ) any help would be good

You have to do it from the back.

Take off the steering column surround, take out the ignition wires and grind 2 slots in the security screws so you can get a screw driver in. then go from there

oh ok so ya cant just take the lock out of the housing then

yeah you can , maybe its a roll pin ? I dont think Ive ever taken more than one out so Im guessing its a pain, plus you need the key that fits. Maybe take the assembly off and go to a lock smith?

there is a small roll pin there i might get it out and see how i go from there sorta thing
