Hey Fellow Lancer Nuts

Post by DanTurboLancer »

Hey guys, finally a section for just us Lancer nuts!

Here are some pics of my 4 door in happier days before the cops decided they didnt enjoy it on the road as much as i did...

When I brought it for $500, just a neat little stocker.

Now with some 17s, lowered suspension, and a Sigma Turbo motor...
i had to cut hole in bonnet to allow for the Sigma Turbo Manifold, so thats reason for scoop.

And now fitting roll cage, and swapped for Starion Turbo motor...
(It was the 2L 4G63T block, Single cam, and had factory injection and never ran as good as the Carb Sig motor!!)

And just having some fun in her...

Good memories, but moving on to newer projects...

(I originally asked a question about how many 1974 LA Lancer 2 Doors were in Australia?
Thought they were pretty rare...)
Cheers Dan

2 door LA's are much more common than that. I think my missus uncles have owned more than 20 over the years lol
Maybe chuck the lancer in the for sale section fro a better chance to sell it

I think you mean specifically '74's. (not '75's and '76's). And if that's the case, You may actually be right...the 2 doors came out after Chrysler bowed to public pressure (cheap bastards) to release the 2dr models seen at the Southern Cross rally.

You know they could have gone for the SL-5, GSL or even GSR!

My bad, didn't realize was asking specifically about 74's.
Sounds like chrysler \ MMAL though. Pitty it wasn't the GTO too lol

what? me? what would I know :D probaly 20 came out for various Southern Cross rallys but 98% of them were crushed or sent back OS, 74 was the start of the importing via Chrysler, probably heaps came out, they wernt rare but are definately getting that way now, some were "privately" imported new by car dealers before and after that, no ADR plate is a giveaway that the car was a private not Chrysler import.
