Brake boosters...optional?

I've just realised why my 2dr LA is a dog on the brakes - I've got no brake booster!
Now I'm just curious but is this normal for LA's? I wouldn't have thought so, but if anyone knows for certain, please enlighten me!

The LA 2 doors were basically a poverty pack and had very few extras. They came standard with no booster.Just fit one from a lancer sedan.

Pretty much anything Mitsu will fit. If you are going to the effort you might as well go for a 1" sleeve from the get go. You are better off over braking than under. You want to look for a GC/D or GE booster. If you need one I think I have a GE booster around here somewhere in good knick if you want it?

Look at what I took credit for finding!
Life does reflect RvB...and I get to be Caboose! fricking sweet!

Galant_GTO, thanks mate, but I've got all the proper hardware...save for the lines, which extend almost an extra foot or so outwards, but that can be sorted out, as Krohny mentioned. Although, failing that, a set of lines from any 4dr Lancer would be a good backup...

Hello there Mr Aerospace, the brakes should work just the same with or without booster you just need more leg power. I just picked up a 75 2 door from Dubbo with 12 mnths rego resprayed and re upholstered WOW !! No brake booster, I'm keeping it that way I like the firm pedal, gives you a better feel for how much brakes is being applied I believe. However in saying that my other 2 door does have a booster in place gotta hook up the lines and get it going.
