Hi guys was just wondering if some people could do me a favour.
I wanted to know if the wheel base of LA 4 doors were the same as the 2 doors?
Would assume so but wondering if someone could please check, unfortunatly I dont have either to compare it to, only wikipedia (but wanted to check with real cars)
I have a LC and it measured in at 2370mm wheel base (but caster is wound forward a bit) and 1570mm approx from flare of guard to flare of guard on the front.
Cheers Matt

Re: Wheelbase
According to the FIA homologation papers for the Lancer A73 (1600) :
Original (LA-shape)
2 door Wheelbase 2340mm Overall length 3960mm with bumpers / 2865mm without
4 door Not specified explicitly (which means it's the same ... they only detail things that are different to the base homologated car)
Facelift (LB-shape)
2/4 door Wheelbase not specified (therefore same as above) Overall length 4105mm with bumpers / 3980mm without

Re: Wheelbase
Thanks heaps for that Dave.
Does it have the official weight (wondering how much this differs to the actual weight).
Cheers Matt

Homologated weights :
Base homologation (LA-style) 2 door 775kg 4 door 800kg
1976 variant (twin carb + 5 speed, effectively GSR ) 2 door 850kg 4 door 870kg ( ... this seems a bit strange ? not sure why the major increase .... )
1978 variant (LB-style) 2 door 840kg 4 door 860kg

Re: Wheelbase
Thanking you very much Dave.
Do you do CAMS rallies or some AMSAG ones too?
Im hoping to do a whole season of AMSAG in 2013 in my LC, just wondering if I may see some other classic Mitsubishi's
Cheers Matt

Re: Wheelbase
Guess thats a no then.
Was looking at CAMS regs, and apparently my cage doesnt comply now, so cant get a log book.
Only got a single diagonal brace on the main hoop, and now you need a cross. But trying to get car engineered so not sure if cross will hinder my chances.
Need to talk to engineer, if it doesnt hinder it ill modify it and get a CAMS logbook and do a few events (though im some strange class as LC with 2.6L).
