Starion G54BT Turbocharged 2.6
Exclusive to the United States, all other country variations were 2.0L Turbo and Japan offered an unpopular N/A variant
TD05-12A turbocharger
Fuel injection (Single point injection or TBI, same as Cordia)
Intercooler is found only on the latest model to come out in the States: ESI-R (Conquest TSi)
Some corrections are needed here.
The G54BT was available in Starions in the UK, Japan, Euro market and the US. For everywhere other than the US, they only came in widebody Starions typically from about '87 to '89, while the US had them from '83 to '89. No factory 2.6s in Australian delivered Starions.
All came with an intercooler except pre '87 US spec.
They did come with nitrided cranks and piston oil squirters (good!) but unfortunately used jet-valve heads (bad - crack city).
Compression ratio is low (from memory 7.8:1), but the small turbo makes it fairly easy to drive.
All are wideblock including automatic Starions.
