fukd carb??

Post by shuggy »

ok
problemm
i thought my acc pump was blocked. it was. so i unblocked it
but, now when i pump the acc it revs ok, but when im say takin off at the lights it just dies. so when there is strain i cant accellerate, like the biggest dead spot ever. but when there no strain its fine..
im thinking maybe primary jet???
or somethin i really hav no idea ay.
its wierd coz at 4000/5000 revs it goes and goes with no dramas, but same thing, if im sitting on 3000, and i floor it its jumps and kicks a lil before going... im so confused :(
is there as chance tooo much fuel is gettin in??

Check the Fuel Cut solenoid is still wired up (including the ground wire) and it's working.

To test it, turn the ignition on (don't start the engine) then un-plug the bullet connector. you should hear a "click" when you un-plug it and when you plug it back in again.

Cheers.

think i found my problem, the air/fuel mix pin is worn like fuk!

i replaced it n hopefully it fixes it, il take off the carb in the next few weeks n adjust the float as its really high now coz i accidenlty bent the float when i looked in the bowl. but i dont think il bother with a rebuild i just want a weber :)

heres what i found
