What material are Fuel Injectors made of?

Post by Superscan811 »

Just trying to find out what normal fuel injector internals are made from.

Steel or Stainless steel?

The reason is because I am water injecting the engines I'm building and I would like to properly control the water flow.
I already have the pumps and the standard water injection nozels but it's not an exact method.

I was hoping that there are some Stainless Steel injectors I can use. They would only need to be about 100cc.

Cheers.

scott

my guess is that they would use steel - reason the injector valve is opened with an electric
pulse - magnetic and stainless dont mix

by the way I found the bmw youtube
