I am thinking of getting a pair of these for the rear of the hardtop.

Anyone have any experiance with these tyres?

No personal experience, but from what I've heard they're pretty brilliant when up to temperature and it's dry. In the wet, fugeddaboudit. Just like most semis really.
Make sure you match the front with a similar tyre, unless you want mucho hondasteery badness.

Gonna recommend Federal 595EVO's, I've used them before and IMO they're brilliant.

these are in a different league to the 595EVO's

595s are a street semi, these are a full comp semislick.
they suck when theyre cold, theyre great when theyre hot, they wont last long driven on the street.

and as a race tyre they change their consistency alot compared to other semislicks as they wear out.
RE55's are probably one of the most consistent proper semislicks. and direzzas are in my experience (AWD subarus) the pick of the bunch.

theres many different compounds available aswell.
also most cheap semis on ebay are 4-5 years old meaning theyre past their new classification, but theyre still fine

Yeah, I know. The Federals would make for a shit-tonnes better street tyre though, and they really are quite good, hence the recommendation

Personally, I wouldn't be using proper semis (ie R888's, 595RS-R's, RE55's, KU36's etc) on the street too often. As Billsy said, they're good hot, shithouse cold and wear out fast. Plus, they suck majorly in the wet. Best bet IMO is to have one set of wheels with good street tyres (KU31's, RE002's, 595EVO's etc) for normal usage and a spare set of wheels with the comp semis mounted for track days/dry, sunny hills runs.

I would recommend toyo R1R's if you can get them in your size, I had them on my s15 and they were pretty amazing in the dry and the wet
