Hi all N.S.W members
just letting you know of an event going to be held next weekend for the Buladelah hill climb.
Have a look at the site, but its basically a Show and Shine and stalls on the Sat.
and the event on the Sunday.
Many of the "mature" (thats my polite way of saying old buggers like me)
members may remember driving through the Buladelah Mountains when it used to be the Old Highway.
And will realise what a Kilometer of that road will mean as a Hillclimb.....FUN!!
With short straights leading into up hill or downhill turns in either direction...

Would be great to see anyone else up there thats interested
Cheers
P.S For those interested but not sure where Buladelah is.
Its an hour North of Newcastle.

Re: NSW Buladelah Hillclimb-Myall Lakes motor Sport Club
I got in touch with Ross Jones, the organiser of the event and member from the Myall Lakes Motor sport club.
And due to a very poor internet companies' attempt to set the Clubs website up, they have had alot of trouble spreading the word.
It took them many years of trying to get the event happening again, and now due to lack of advertising and awareness, they have had to cancel the Hillclimb for this period.
They have another event planned for March, and its a 2 day event for cars under mid 80s (1986 was the cut off I think)
So it would great to get the word out there, and get lots of people interested.
They need to have a minimum of 180 competitors, at $180 Entry
to cover the costs.
They are a not for profit organisation and the money is to cover the $10, 000 that is needed to run the event, after Council fees, Police, Ambulance,
hire of spectator barriers etc...
But if they can get lots of spectators to come along and show support that would be great to!!
They have recently had the council upgrade the road, and clear more spectator areas.
Also to enter your car,
If it is Regoed, you need a Helmet, Fire Extinguisher, a second means to keep your bonnet shut (E.g Bonnet Pins, Bonnet Latches, or a belt or strap across your bonnet)
and a Blue triangle to indicate your battery position.
***at this point unless Council changes their rule,
You DO NOT need a Roll cage
So please everyone spread the word and create some interest as this is a fanatstic event and it would be a shame for it to have to come to an end!

They also hold State Khanacross and rally events
And some Footage i found on Youtube

i am planning on entering, just got a few things to purchase and do before then eg. new diff, gearbox work, rear suspension work.
