QLD Classic Japenese Show & Shine Photo's

Post by woops »

Just some pics to show what the event was like. There wasn't much of a turn out from the Mitsubishi crew but hopefully next year we can change that a little more. MrBishi was there with his widebody Starion along with a couple others and there was also Import 1974 GC Galant Coupe there. Didn't manage to take a shot of the tail lights but he has a cardomain site too. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3104018

Was pretty good there was two datsun 240z the 2seater (short ones) bloody beauties.
A Toyota Sprinter only one there (blue) am trying to negoiate a price for it.
The RX Mazadas were very nice left early must not have been in competition, they
have small radiators and the oil cooler sits right under the radiator.
Great day will go to the next one, may even put a car in.

Spoke to Jamie about his Hardtop pretty good job is a mechanic from Brissie southside.
75wagon it's a bit picky pulling up the bonnet catch, said he may put injected car pump
in the tank as is hatch and swirl pot in hatch is no option (my RA28 problem), spoke
about coil packs as well some good ideas/essons learnt from him. He is good value.

Yeah Jamie knew his stuff. I ended up talking to him for an hour or so about galants and the old school Mitsubishi's. Got some good info from him about the coupes and their import cousins. Seeing the jap spec tail lights kinda makes me want some but i can't justify $800 for a set when that's how much i paid for the entire coupe. I wanted to enter my GB but i had somewhere to be right in the middle of the show and it would have been too much of a hassle to leave part way.

Well that same place that was selling them on ebay is now selling them for only $790. The price started at $1300 then came down over the last year or so.

One car in the pics that wasnt identified was sold here as Isuzu Bellett GT, complete with tripple 45 Webers.

Very desirable in their day.
